COD 4 PC multi 55 players max, console: 18 players max

yeah there r some server that lets 55 players play in it, many however have a 50 limit, just about 5min ago i saw about 10 servers with 50 players limits, and had 46~50 players in it

i only saw about 2 that supports 55, but still 50 vs 18?? not to mention P2P multi .. they jsut love release dumbed down experience to console at 10 bux more

dude those maps are a cluster **** with 18 people I normally only play the 12 player game types unless I have to many friends on and have to play ground war...unless the maps are 4X the size on PC which they are not the 55 is ridiculous

many maps are even bigger than cs_office ... and u can have yp to 60 players in cs_office

Lets see I can still play halo 2 right now, I can still play ALOT of games over xbox live 3-4 years after, Most of the time ON pc only the biggest and best games stay popular and even then their population Drops dramatically after a few years, because every 1-2 years the better next great FPS is released.

Xbox doesn't use dedicated servers though. It uses client side which is an extreme let down.

Um im pretty sure you need the gold account to play ranked matches but as i said before the PS3 online is free as well the only system that makes you pay for online is the 360 and the 360 doesnt represent all consoles so as usualy you have no case . Anyways go play cod4 with 55 players and enjoy the respawn kill.

I have to agree. i tried playing the 18 player matches because I wanted to play with the higher ranked players but the maps are so small 18 people on the maps is just too many. I couldn't imagine playing this game with more then 18 people on the maps. It would be like Resistance. It wouldn't really take skill to survive you just have to spawn in the right spots. Spawn in the wrong spots and you could die instantly as sson as you spawn. That wouldn't be fun to me at all.

I can argue and my argument is legit....I for one hate huge teams. You never have any time to think or plan or have fun. Its spawn, shoot, die, kill, spawn, die, spawn, shoot, granade, die....over and over and over...That is NOT FUN at all. Smaller teams means more and better play time. I wouldnt play online if it was like PC.

i love how you guys make such a big deal out of paying for xbox live like its an arm and a leg...its 50 bucks a year...thats roughly 4 bucks a month. basically dirt cheap. stop making such a big deal about it.

How is that? You either have the option to be able to play with more people, or play with less people, whereas on consoles, you are limited to 18 people. It is one extra thing added to it, so how is not better?
