COD box arts are getting worse

Check out Call of Duty 2's box art, lots of stuff happening, pretty epic

Now check out MW3's box art, just a single soldier with a gun.

Look at how much more detail is in Cod 2's box art, like the people falling down the cliff and soldiers storming the beach.

There's a lot more going on CoD2, but the MW3 one is better I think.

Holy crap CoD2's face looks like it randomly photoshopped in some random yelling face for that soldier!:lol:

To be honest. I prefer the MW3 boxart. It's generic, because it's typical cod. But COD2 has to much crap going on. MW3 is simple and better for the eye.

Not unlike the games contained in them...amirite? lolololRemmib

The Ico cover is honestly the best looking boxart in history.

AS for MW3, it is miles ahead of COD2. Thousands of miles. The COD2 box art isn't artistic or visually appealing by any means.

I love the old CoD/MOH box arts, but I honestely think Black Ops had the best one so far, despite much less details.

As a graphics designer in training. Call of Duty 2's boxart is far too cluttered and too busy to have a real central focal point. Modern Warfare 3's boxart has a great use of contrast, tone, balance and colour, and my eyes can easily see the Call of Duty: MW3 on the box unlike Call of Duty 2's boxart.

Why did you feel the need to put this ni both General Discussion AND System Wars? Because I doubt its that important we all know how you feel about box art, especially when it seems most of us disagree (myself included because, seriously look at that CoD2 box, its terrible).

Why am I not surprised this has just turned into another CoD vs Battlefield debate?

That box art would be more impressive if it weren't recycling the design of last year's Bad Company 2. Pretty uninsipred.

They changed the box art style for CoD with CoD4. It used to be "dude looking out holding a gun and looking intense while other dudes fight around him", now it's "silhouette dude is standing and holding a gun while some vague stuff happens behind him".enterawesome

MW3's boxart is actually quite nice, as it's simple.

This is one of my favourite of all time, just looking at this and what is going on around Chief makes me want to play this for the billionth time AGAIN:

I like that box art. I also like the fact that its just one soldier in the cover.... One man army :P

Not bad, but nothing groundbreaking...just imaging the Xbox version smooth as butter and a much better resolution, mods can make it look even nicer but not a graphics benchmark game like Crysis when it came out etc...
