:lol: :lol: :lol: Halo, not even close. Health is not regenerating red blotches, weapons are somewhat original, pretty good vehicles, and a far better variety of game modes and maps. COD is giving games a bad name, I'd be quite happy if it stopped existing.
Now if you were talking about COD4 vs. Halo 3/Reach, that would be different. I'd still probably say Halo, but COD 4 is my personal preference and I do think at least the maps are much better in COD 4 versus Reach.
To be clear, I don't think Black Ops is a bad multiplayer game at its core (it just has mediocre maps), but there are a few problematic things that Treyarch left in from MW2 that lead to the whole experience being terrible if you don't learn to exploit them.
Halo for sure has the best multiplayer i can get a party of friends jump into multiplayer easy through front screen no menu hopping . Then can go into FORGE make a map , make a New fun game mode . the creativity is what i like BUNGIE made halo have a awesome community . There is theatre mode which COD just got so dont say "Well i can do that too" It took activison 4 games to catch up with what halo did 4 years ago. So halo wins no contest i dont care to upgrade my guns and paint them cause im here to kill the other players not stare at my flashy gun.
Halo involves far more skill, no doubt about that. Lately though I've been having a lot more fun playing Black Ops than I have with Reach (Zombies on Kino is just too damn fun and addicting!)
For me it's all about balance. Killstreaks, perks, unlocking different weapons and attachments are all fun but they make the multiplayer unbalanced. Halo is more about skill and less about what you got. Camping and the newb tube also make COD unbalanced. Don't get me wrong COD can be fun, but too me it's less competitive than Halo.
The problem with CoD is the lack of variety in gametypes. They may have multiple games listed but every game feels like deathmatch because of the experience gaines from killing. Halo actually managed to make each game type feel competetive and fun in different ways. Oddball actually plays differently than slayer, and Assualt and Capture the Flag feel like actual team events. I think the greatest thing about Halo is how it manages to be fun in extremly different circumstances whereas CoD is only fun in Team Deathmatch.
I prefer Halo. Vehicle, greater customizable experience for custom games, camping is less effective. The only things I like more in Call of Duty are the superior frame rates and that they replace players that quit matches.
Halo 1 on PC is great, but not enough people still play it. Halo 2 on the original xbox was the absolute best. Halo 3 was just as good although I don't get the best online connection. Reach is the king and everyone should bow down to it.
Call of Duty 4 is the only CoD I like so I consider Halo to be the best.
