COD4 360 having major problems online

This is in response to the idiot that jinxed us the other day saying the problem was only on the ps3. Well the ps3 version is has apparently been fixed, while were left wandering if the problem is live or cod4.

The latest problem is 'game lobby closed'. The most frustrating part is that it happens just when the game is about to start

Yeah, I've had that happen to me a copule times. Also, when you try and party up with friends, weird things happen ALL the time. Like you'll join the match and your buddy won't. Or you'll back out of the game to come back to an empty lobby (i.e. the game "splitting up your party" essentially). It's buggy on the 360 that's for sure. After every single match yesterday I had to re-invite my friend to my party because it kept on splitting us apart somehow. Frustrating.

The PS3 version still has problems.

Most new Games that are Online are having problems because they are getting more Complex using online stats, rankings, etc. Look at Warhawk the first week it came out.

yea, the servers have been messed up for a while now. i believe its supposed to be all fixed by the 15th

sucks too, cause it so much fun and we're having trouble playing it :(

I love the game but alot about it is hindering my exp.

like my buddy will form a party then I join no problem...when he hit find game I get booted out like 90% of the time and everyone in the party has too quit out and try again like 3 4 5 times before I can get in its really annoying

Yea, mostly like for 20-30 second tops... This is really getting annoying, hope they fix this soon...

I love the game so much I still wished they had split screen online.

Warhawk did have some online issues when it first came out, but they were mostly stats updates problems. The game could still be played.

if the online bugs are this bad they should have just delayed the game.

This doesn't seem to be a COD4 specific problem. The entire XBL network is acting retarded today. Whenever I want to play online VF5, it takes forever to load the lobbies, if I quit out of a custom match I'm hosting it'll freeze up the game for 30+ seconds, and sometimes it'll just disconnect me from my opponent out of nowhere. The entire XBL service is crap today.Spartan_3

hmm..if it is happening with all of xbox live...could it have something to do with them putting the classic xbox games in the marketplace...i mean they can't be small files to make public right?

damage control, you wont admit the 360 isn't always superior and its fast falling behind the wii and ps3 will catch up next year. just admit it the ps3 and x360 versions of cod 4 are basicly the same, the 360 is no longer better

Part of me thinks it's both CoD 4 and XBL. CoD has been buggy and laggy over the past couple of days and yesterday I had trouble signing into XBL. But CoD 4 definitely has some bugs to work out, plus hopefully they can balance the juggernaut perk while they're at it.PBSnipes

Wow, I am RELIEVED that this has been happening to other people. I thought that my Live account had been canned by MS because I got ME early and they wouldn't let me play any games online. Glad to know that this is IW's fault...Verge_6

Just when the game is about to start, it says "Game lobby closed". I think its fixed now though, atleast free for all anyways

Hey Sony fans, welcome to the world of online gaming. If PSN does now what XBLhas done the last four yearsthen you will soon learn that the first month every online game runs crappy and gets a patch to fix problems as they come up.

I'm not too big a fan of how things are but guess what, that's how things are, the game is flooded with new owners the first month and they almost never run right at release, then the patches come out and they get fixed(or mostly fixed at least).

Hey, or maybe you should start checking Xbox Live website to see when they are down for maintenence purposes, you know, instead of assuming its a bug. I couldn't get on Live with COD4, then I tried to do it with MAdden '08 and NBA2k8 and guess what, it was down there too.
