I made a huge mistake in buying The Orange Box for 360...laggy TF2 (with 30-40 total people playing at any given time), hard-to-control Half-Life.

I normally love console shooters, but I found The Orange Box to be very disappointing for 360. Despite the high reviews for both 360 and PC, it's clear to me now that the PC version blows the 360 version out of the water. I do prefer PC aiming over console aiming, but my computer is a high-end from 2004 (which makes it a medium or low gaming PC now) and it also randomly crashes in the middle of games, which sometimes gets annoying.

So, basically I don't want to make the same mistake with CoD4 as I did with the Orange Box.

Should I go with 360 version or PC version and why? Thanks.

I would say the 360 version, I played the beta on the 360, sure its not as good, but its nothing breaking like the problems with TF2 on the 360.

Get TF2 for the PC, its a blast :D

well, they're basically the same except controls, and 360 version only allows 18 people online at a time; pc does 32.

I'd say 360. I played the demo for the PC before buying it, but it's just that more of my friends had the 360 version and my PC is starting to age.

as for TF2, I can't say you're missing much. It was a disappointment for me. I wouldn't buy the Orange Box for the PC just for comfort.

im kinda in the same position with the pc and stuff, i only play source games and a few new games on low/medium settings. i would really get it on 360 for the reasons others have said and also im not sure if you can max out cod4 on pc.

Are you insane?
Get CoD4 for PC! Not only is it free to play online, but it's faster and more intense.
Get orangebox for PC too!

Get the PC version unless you have friends who play the 360 version.

If you can run it PC version is the way to go (unless you have a lot of friends on LIVE) but other than that there is no reason to get 360 over PC really

I suggest the 360 version unless you have a high end PC...

The PC version. You get dedicated servers, larger player cap, user made maps (CoD4's maps aren't too great), and user made mods. Not to mention the KB/M which you stated you prefer using. I played CoD4 for 360 and it just didn't feel like CoD. You can't even lean/peak in the 360 version.

PC. It looks better, easier to control, better online (more players and smoother connections), mods, and is cheaper.

PC, it will have more custom maps and they will be free from ground up, the comunity will last longer, it will have more servers from near your area(if your not from USA) not to mention that those servers will be dedicated.

Also better aiming as you alredy mentioned
