I honestly think now with the new good price of $399.99 for the PS3 that COD 4 and Assasins Creed is what will be the "Deal breakers" for most people when choosing a next gen console that have not yet chosen one. Not to mention the other great exclusive games such as Warhawk, Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank. Honestly, aside from Halo 3, why else would your average consumer choose a 360 over the PS3.. The PS3 is more reliable, has built in Wifi, Free online and built in blu ray.. COD4 and Assasins Creed are going to be huge system movers this christmas and I honestly think casuals will be more willing to get the PS3 for Assasins Creed and COD 4
Xbox 360 has a larger library with games like Mass Effect, BioShock, Halo 3, Dead Rising, Gears of War, and all those multiplatform titles. That will ultimately help the 360, I think.

Assassin's Creed looks more like a hardcore gamer's game. i don't see a game in the mid-east about the crusades selling to casuals. maybe i'm wrong. blu- ray won't mean a thing to people without hdtvs. they'll go with the arcade version of 360.

360 has games that matter, so an extra $50/year for online or buying a Wi-Fi adapter is little to worry about for a better experience.

Thats the point. The 360 has MANY amazing online games, INCLUDING COD4 (with Halo 3 being one of the best online games ever made)... While the PS3 only has COD4 (a multiplat game)
Well if someone wants to play those games and they're trying to pick a console to play them on... It's going to be Xbox 360, the cheaper and most popular option with no doubt the most advertising of the multi-platform games that interest them.
They both will be best and sell best on 360...so if they help PS3 at all..multiply that by X degree and you have the positives that they will do for 360. Srsly, who would by multiplats on PS3 if you have multiple systems.

just because the 360 has them, it won't negatively affect the PS3. PS3? Good. 360? Good.
If you're talking about rising above the 360 based on just those two, then no. But if you mean being successful in sales and doing well for itself, then yes.

I think the TC means more along the lines of pushing people to buy a PS3 who were hesitant due to the lack of games. These two games will be excellent for both consoles no doubt, but for the the people who had the PS3 in mind to buy, these games could put them over the edge.
