COD4 best FPS so far???

Seriously, the games just that damn good...just finished beating the PS3 version and playing some online (runs like a champ) and its incredible.

I'd have to say its the best FPS out there, ATM. It totally puts you into a warzone and delivers in every aspect..maybe not so much Story-wise...but everything else.

Thoughts?

360 plays better?

No seriously, its an awesome online game no matter the console/pc. At least it stopped all my friends playing Lamo 3 (Not a halo fan here), and play something decent where it doesn't come down to who gets the best guns first

I hear some negative things about the game....your thoughts? Hows it hold up visually, runs smooth?

i believe that CoD4 is an amazing shooter and its the game that i spend alot of time now playing in terms of FPS.

but still, i have to say that Halo3 is the best FPS out there in terms of all that you can do.

A. weapons are not preset - everyone's even

B. more team based (imo but an arguable point)

C. map creator (forge)

D. replays, videos and screenshots (what won me over)

really though, im satisfied with 07 and looking forward to 2008..... only a cow would look two years ahead and try and argue it to be a great year.

I didn't say it was horrible for the 360 alone, it was a horrible year for all. What did the 360 have?? Mass effect?? That game is pretty damn bad. I mean it is a pretty good game, but from what is expected of it and what came out was just a sub standard game in all aspects except maybe visuals. Bioshock and AC aren't even exclusives. PGR 4 added not much new really. Past that you are left with just a bunch of flops and non exclusives. Bad year all around.

Oh and Halo 3 has to be the worst in the series in terms of improvements from the last.

Its the best console FPS multiplayer wise. Not even close single player wise though.

(Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were better multiplayer for their time by the way)

hl2 ep 2 was amazing but i feel that just the overall polish and scope of CoD4 is just amazing... most realistic feeling game ive played in a long, long time. the guillie suit level is one of the best moments in gaming this year.

"All Gillied up" and escorting the convoy in the aircraft (don't know it's name but it's in the Transformers movie) are 2 of the best fps levels I've played. Definately my favourite game this year next to Mass Effect.

I've played a lot of COD4 and Halo 3, and I just don't get all the people saying COD4 is way better. Maybe it's just that people can't play without recoil on guns or being able to pick a class or something, because halo 3 is just more balanced, has more inspired maps, better spawning system and a way better matchmaking. Sure, the gameplay of halo 3 isn't without its faults too, but so is COD4. I have to say the single player felt great, but the multiplayer needs some tweaking to hold up to halo 3 if you ask me. 11Marcel

Crysis is so much better, IMO. :)

Its a great FPS but the only reason why i was really playing it was because most of my friends had it.IMO halo is better.

Visually its dissapointing and overall the story sucked...MS should have left it till next year. Considering it was MS flagship title it should have been better.

Some levels, ending etc etc SUCKED big time. Halo 1 still is the better game concerning story. And about COD4 Didn't i say in my topic that STORY-wise it wasn't that good? (not in those words)
