I have barely been able to play today, but i think thats to do with servers being offline? My real complaint is the setup for playing games.

Every time ive played today, ive only been able to play the first game that was found, i dont have any options for seeing a list of current games and joining the one i want. I know you can invite players into your own game, but there should still be an option to see a list of games, by game type. or map type, etc.

Actual play is amazing though.

My only complaint is that there isn't really a system to match you with players of close ranks (at least not that I know of). While in other games I wouldn't mind so much, in Call of Duty 4 higher-ranked players really do have advantages over players who are just starting out. Better weapons, better perks, more experience.. it's a tough game for new players.

the unlock feature wouldnt really work if everyone you played had access to the same perks, weapons, etc. It maks you want to play more to get better weapons

Yeah, I understand and love the system as a whole. It's just that when you're a rank one player matched up against several rank 20+ players, it's more frustrating than fun. Frankly, I think they should add a lobby accessible only to players ranked less than ten.

Because every game mode is ranked. Go play a private match if you want to control what you playkrp008

Ranking is for children. I appreciate being able to join a game based on a server list where I can actually dictate what I'm going to play based on map, number of players, kind of server, ping level, etc. I can even determine whether there are going to be mods, what the server's admins will expect of me, etc.

Or I could sit there for a full five minutes waiting to join a game based on only a single criterion: "Deathmatch." Then I can sit in a lobby and listen to white noise via the mics....then I can wait another 30 seconds for the game to start. Then I can sit through the laggy P2P connection game. Then I can get disconnected from the game at random and start the whole process over.

Also, in those stupid matchmaking online games you can't actually join a game in progress. You have to join it at the start and stick through to the end. I'm tired of joining a RB6 match and sitting for a full 10 minutes for the counter to go down just to avoid the 10 minute search for joining another game. Matchmaking is a completely messy way to game online and you'd only ever understand this if you played a PC game like CSS for a long period of time. It's more convenient, it's a better experience, it gives you a WAY better experience in EVERY way.

umm... You CAN join a match in progress in COD4. And being able to search for ranked servers just fire up the cheaters.

The unlock feature is total trash. Total and absolute trash. I have to play the game for 25 hours to get a decent weapon, 50 hours to get a great weapon, and 100 to get the amazing weapons and all the noob perks that will allow me to airstrike my way to the top.

Competitively, the online mode in COD4 is an absolute mess and it disgusts me completely. The only thing that makes it worthwhile is the gameplay. So much about it is agitating.

imo all online games should make you gain EXP to unlock better weapons. It makes u want to play. I guess you must lose/die a lot, right? Im still using my M16 and getting 20+ kill per game with 10 or less deaths

I've never joined a match in progress. If you can, sorry, it's never happened to me, so I wouldn't know.

As far as searching for "ranked" servers....I can play CSS just fine without ranks. It's a cleaner experience. You mingle with skilled players, high level players, and everyone else on the continuum. It doesn't affect your experience to be playing without a corresponding number set. And, you know what? Someone just starting the game can use an M4, an AK47, or a AWP if they want. They don't have to unlock it via some noobfest jungle gym routine.

I can't stand that crap. How can you have competing players that all use the same weapon pools and perk feature sets at the start of the game? Then UNLOCK, as they become better, even better equipment? It's totally backwards ass and hardly intuitive, much less BALANCED.

It's just like that WC3 mod on DOD:S bullcrap. Listen, if you want to have a childlike ranking/leveling system to support your addiction to your videogaming habit, please, by all means, make the mod, join the server, make everybody download the mod, and slap eachother around until you're level 250 and pwning teh noobs with your bloodmage and level 15 phoenix strike. Leave the rest of the game alone.

As far as cheaters....I'm sorry, any game with a decent infrastructure shouldn't have that problem. Warhawk uses a server list for both ranked and unranked games. Most of the ranked servers are run by SCEA. A huge number of them, over 100 easily. They're low ping and cheat-free. What's the big deal?

Well aren't you special. Maybe that's because you're noobing it up with knives and grenade launchers like everyone else. Enjoying that auto-aim? Yeah, unfortunately, I turned mine off for the campaign, and I had a rough start. Fortunately, now that I've got noob-aim on, I'm starting to get positive KD-ratios.

But if you're trying to shame me into admitting this system works, I don't think you'll get very far. Try auto-aiming enemies in CSS and see how far it gets you.

You don't need some ridiculous leveling structure to get people to play games. CSS is deep, intuitive, and COMPETITIVE without having a leveling system.

your damn right it ownzzz lol!! Infact the name was so popular that cod4ownz and cod4ownzz were already taken.

Apart from the complaints, which are slightly exagerrated because i was barely able to get online today, this game is absolutely amazing. Even the short missions in single player are a blast to play, and are highly replayable due to their shortness, without getting bored

I beat the game before I even started playing. Like I said I never even used auto-aim to begin and I was still getting pos K/D off and on. I got tired of watching people's crosshairs follow me smoothly around corners as I jumped too precisely....so I turned on noob-aim.

CSS doesn't have auto-aim. CSS requires precision and skill. Maybe someday I'll invite you to the party. Sorry, CSS has a more vibrant community than any console game. There are currently more games and more players playing simultaneously on this "old and simple" game than any console game in your collection. Probably, combined.

CSS is more complex than COD4. Period. Shove your nonsense ideas back up your ass where they belong.

What is noob-aim? is it on by default? Is it that thing where if you zoom and let go and then zoom again, it automatically goes to next enemy?
