COD4 Online Lag (PS3 vs 360)

It seems to me PS3 has a far better online experience than COD4 in terms of lag. I honestly don't ever recall experiencing lag with this game. 360 users seem to complain about it often.

It would seem that i accquire less lag on the ps3

only had any rea noticable lag when my connection was pants.. but asside from that its been awesome :)

I thought this only depends on your own connection or who ever is the host.

I've never encountered lag on either version. But I never played it online all that much.

I think I read back in 2007 that the PS3 version of this game had(s) Dedicated servers? It was a long time ago.

I own both versions, I have little issue, but I haven't played the game in over a year, so I don't remember it so well.

Too many games to play for me to play games from 2007 (COD4, Halo 3, Uncharted, Ratchet, etc.)

yeah i never got lag on cod 4 on 360 its more cheaters now the any thing.

I have never got lag on cod4 on the 360 and i rarely experience lag in games.Duckyindiana

I think Sony announced they were doing the servers for MW2.hoosier7

Point of contention. I rarely can get a game in COD4 for PS3. I always just wind up sitting at the downloading settings screen. I would say it's my connection, but I have no such issues with COD4 on the 360 or WaW, KZ2, UFC or SFIV on the PS3. It is just COD4 on the PS3.

The first week or two of the game on ps3 it had problems conencting to friends partys and other games, but it was post game problems from everyone buying the game, once the servers were relaxed it was lag free for almost all my games.

No lag here for me.

Im being honest, Ive been comparing the two for the last week and then I found this thread, I hardly ever post here but read often

cod4 only has killcam lag and maybe hit detection lag sometimes. the game is smooth mostly
