COD4 PC map editor to be released soon.

they have opened up a Wiki on it already, there is no release date on it, but its supposed to come sometime in the next month or so....currently, a few moders have been invited to test it out....they say its not as powerfull as something like the Sandbox Editor from crysis, but that its still a capable editor that is pretty good overall.

Well either way I think that Infinity Ward delivered when they claimed that the PC version will have PC appeal.

it looks as though its both a singleplayer and multiplayer editor, as the second pic seems to be of some kind of script...and I cant imagine why you would have that for anything other than singleplayer or COOP.

Good. Now, the problem is that I have lots of trouble using bloody map editors for FPSs'....aliblabla2007

have you tried the crysis editor yet...easiest and best editor I have seen by far...the entire engine is so dynamic, that it bassiclly figures out everything by itself....you bassiclly to very little of the tedius stuff...there is even an option for randomlly generated terrain.

My PC is waay too weak to run Crysis.

Nice. I'd like to see some larger maps for CoD4. The current ones feel so small.

It uses a heavily modified Quake 3 engine.

Why not? CoD1, UO, and CoD2 had large maps made for them........

even the current maps for COD4 can go to high amounts of players easy...no reason why larger maps cant be made.

I cant seem to find a download for it

It's a bit late I guess... It would be nice if they do that for the other ones, but while the DLC train rages on it will never see day light.

mods are pretty cool in cod4.... but I have always liked the vanilla version better. They even have a MW2 mod with a custom set list for the maps, and some MW2 ported maps as well.
