I'm on the fence here, I know I get a better picture from the PS3 through HDMI connection vs. the 360's HDMI, but I'm curious what the Gamespot community thinks. Should I get it for the PS3 or 360? and your reasons!

Get it for the 360, the online is far superior and the controller is much better for FPS. Seems like an easy choice to me....
the online is the same and the controller argument is opinion at best....Get it for the 360, the online is far superior and the controller is much better for FPS. Seems like an easy choice to me....

While people CAN talk on PSN, few actually do. I'd say 20% max. Take the same game on LIVE, though, and generally 90% have the means to talk. Basically, if you like in game voice communication, the 360 is a better console simply because the premium systems come with headets. In my experiences most PS3 users don't even configure their systems to recieve voice communication, much less send it.
The PS3 doesn't have Anti Aliasing, and the textures look a little more blocky IMO. (I have the PS3 version, btw.) This was also the case with COD4... I should know, I bought both console versions, and would choose the 360 version any day. It's not a huge difference, but it's there.donalbaneur funny. in every post you try and bash the ps3 whilst saying you own one. however, if you look at your posting history, you only ever post to bash the ps3 and its games. You have only reviewed 360 and wii games, and, to be honest, I think you don't really have a ps3...if ur gonna be a fanboy, at least have the guts and just come out with it... rather than all this covert nonsense!
Most comparisons have said, if anything, the ps3 version has slightly better textures. so your "blocky" comment is kinda strange. however, at the end of the day, both versions are so similar, it really does not matter which you buy, even if you enjoy counting pixels.

I have mixed feelings about voice chat. in 90% of games, it adds very little to the experience in terms of gameplay. It also means you have to listen to endless racism, swearing, pro-USA garbage, anti-usa garbage and everything else inbetween. that said, not putting a headset in with the system is annoying, and SOny was being kinda cheap;[QUOTE="donalbane"][QUOTE="boarderk15"] People don't even talk on PSN? You guys really can't believe that somebody owns a 360 and a PS3 and prefers the 360? My PSN ID is PerfectConsumer. Add me to your friends list and we can not talk together! If you need further confirmation, check theexplodingbarrel.com for my review of the PS Eye vs the inferior Vision camera. Add me to your friends list so we can never speak to one another some time.I've actually reviewed a number of PS3 games on a few sites. Check out my review of Heavenly Sword on thegamereviews.com. I used to write for that site, and wrote a terrific writeup for that game. I gave it a 9. So I'm sorry, but I do have a PS3... I just think Home sucks. I sure like the DVD upscaler on the PS3 is awesome.
And forgive me if I'm down on Sony... it was an expensive console that hasn't really delivered yet, and what's worse is my PS3 is currently being repaired by Sony to the tune of $160. If you can't believe that there are any valid critisizms of Sonys hardware, and believe that everyone who does critisize it is a liar, then the paranoid fanboy IS YOU.

Not sure, I was hanging a photo whilst standing on my toilet. I slipped and, when I came to, I thought that perhaps sony should have included a headset with the system... I also had this idea involving a delorean and a flux capacitor.[QUOTE="thetruespin"]ur funny. in every post you try and bash the ps3 whilst saying you own one. however, if you look at your posting history, you only ever post to bash the ps3 and its games. Like I said, getting your console shipped in for $160 repairs leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I do like the vision camera, blu ray player, DVD upscaling, ability to install Linux, etc... I just havn't had that many 'Holy S@*t experiences on my PS3 yet. So far I've really enjoyed MGS4 and Heavenly Sword. I want to get excited about Killzone 2, but I'm afraid of history repeating itself with the first game, which was a huge disapointment. The main reason I don't like Home is because in the closed beta I tried, there weren't any BluTooth headsets online... it wasn't working so everyone had to use virtual keyboards to chat. It doesn't compare favorably to what LIVE has had since Day One. That's my point.
