Come on lemmings, HYPE your games!

Whats up with thisc onservative trend that lemmings are adopting lately?

Definition of Hype: Exaggerated or extravagant claims made especially in advertising or promotional material: "It is pure hype, a gigantic PR job" (Saturday Review).

Hype your games!!! Eternal Sonata hyped only A? That's not hype at all, that's a conservative estimate. Cows hype (well, maybe a little over hype - Lair hyped AAA :P), but lemmings are playing "gamespot reviewer game". You should hype AAA/AA based on graphics and your "anticipation" to play the game.

We don't need to hype 360 games, because there's a general understanding that most of them are going to be great.

Can the same be said for PS3 or Wii games?:P

Anyway, I think cows are doing enough hyping for everyone. Watching games that they hype as "the REASON TO OWN A PS3" flop is fun.

Why whould we hype a game that we think will suck? So far the only game that has realy flopped that I can tell is Blue Dragon. jbeen

Good god, if there's one thing you should learn its NOT to hype a game based on graphics, thats what caused the Lair debacle. Despite everyone warning the cows they wouldn't listen. The cows problem is that the lack of great games is driving them nuts so they are prepared to hype any old rubbish and they do!

Lems hyped Bioshock AAA, halo 3 AAA, mass effect was high AA (8.5) or AAA I don't remember, but whats the point of hyping a game that looks and sounds average? I don't get what you're trying to say? That Lems should hype the crappy games so cows can get some revenge?

The way I see SW is that, you hype, you get owned (sometimes), and that makes it fun. Blind fanboism, zealous willingness to believe and anticipate fora game thus hyping are part of SW. What's the point of hyping conservatively after careful analysis of gameplay, content, past developer performance? That is not HYPE my friend. Hype is when you go nuts after seeing a screenshot :)

??? Isnt System Wars the forum to "talk trash and hype games"? I dont know what are you talking about? At home I am busy playing Warhawk, Lair (no, I rented it :))DotA (Warcraft III expansion) I post in SW when I'm at work.

BTW, I honestly dont see the "great game selection" that Xbox supposely offered until recentlybefore Bioshock and Blue Dragon came out.

It is but not to hype every single game (like uncharted as AAA) when they are clearly not. Games worth hyping are hyped as I said before. So this quarter the hyped games for the 360 are Halo 3, Bioshock and Mass Effect. With these quality games coming out theres no need to hype games which are not of the same quality as AAA (ie Lair, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, etc etc). Its only cows that feel the need to hype every and any game, especially when they haven't seen any in game action (ie Killzone2)

unlike you cows, we're actually smart in which games we choose to hype. Just because a game looks great doesn't mean it's going to score well and one would think that the cows would have learned this by now.

Bioshock was hyped AAA and that delivered. Next there's Halo3 (easily AAA), Mass Effect and PGR4. Those games at least feature gameplay as the main course with great graphics and replay value to boot. :)
