True... PS3 has the 360 beat when you weigh in HD movies, wireless internet (this one really annoys me), andonline gaming (price vs quallity is your own opinion). But the fact remains, 360 beats it in games and games are what really matter.

Merced and Turlock, CA they were this am. I went to all those stores, couldn't find a 360 anywhere couldn't find a 360 for my cousin, noteven an arcade. I'll probably end up giving him one for New Years.

Each store had stacks of PS3s though.

Ps3's best games are Multiplats and there are only a few great exlusives such as Uncharted, Ratchet and clank, motorstorm and Resistance (Maybe a Heavenly sword but too short)

Yeah, I HAVE to get the HD DVD so I can watch hi-def movies... on my SDTV. And I GOTTA spend $100 on a wi-fi adapter because those network cables just don't connect me to online play :roll:

As for Live, it's $50/yr. A little less than a game. And how many games, extra controllers, extra peripherals (camera, driving wheel) do you buy a year? The cost of live isn't part of the console cost, it's the supplemental cost that ALL systems have, which is primarily in the form of games. If Live is part of the console cost, so is every game you get, in which case PS3 could be argued to cost $740 (500 + 4 games, going by more current costs)

Now I'm going to take this real slow and hold your hands, fanboys... make sure you understand this time.

HD DVD - NOT necessary.
Wi-Fi adapter - NOT necessary.
Live - NOT part of the console cost

360 has more AA's, AAA's, AA exclusives, AAA exclusives, superior multiplats, more multi-million selling killer app hits.....all by a very wide margin

face the facts, 360 has better games than the ps3 right now.....and so it should because the 360 has been out a year longer

For his comparison the guy used "True HD Experience" as his standard to go by. Now I personally did not buy my console to get a "True HD Experience". The console I have is to play next gen games. In order for me to play anything in High Definition I would have to go buy an HD TV which would probably run at least 2 grand.

I play games not stats. Everybody looks at the PS3 on paper and are just baffled that this so called high powered machine with all the top notch features just isn't succeeding in the market. But they left out the only thing that actually sells consoles, the games.

And yes I know, the PS3 has a couple games to play but that is it. A couple. I also think the software sales numbers are a glaring indicator of the trouble the PS3 is seeing because those couple of games that are must haves have not sold well. I do not think that the PS3 has a runaway hit yet.

Not only did I buy a 360 a year ago, I have also purchased 48 games . I do not have a wifi adapter or an hd-dvd player, but I would not think twice about buying them if I needed them.
