I'm new to this and i don't want to start a flame but....i think the wii is only good for what ever is on it's franchise.If you played cod3,the graphics suck,no wii zapper which shoots 3 holes toward cod3 and it's fans.Now,compared to Mario or the SuperSmashBro. series,the graphics are top notch,game play is awesome and it's breath taking.Games they made from anime like naruto,bleach,ect. are pretty good,but not the best.Bleach blades of fate or something like that had destroyed Bleach's rep and will forever haunt it.Now,other games like cod5,graphics were pretty bad,but the game play is good since the wii zapper has come.Over all,nintendo seems to work hard on their own games,and impress their fans,but other games planned for the wii,turns out to be a disaster. So...the wii could be worth your money,but think about the games they don't make,and what they do made and you'll know whether to buy it or not.
I could kind of tell where you're coming from, but seriously kid, do a favour and try not to sound like a total troll. The Wii not being good doesn't have anything to do with the Wii itself, it has to do with the developers making shovelware that chokes out the few gems that come along. COD3 was a launch title, and that's before Metroid Prime 3 and Medal of Honour Heroes 2 came out (both titles are praised for having excellent controls). Nintendo is doing their part in making great games, but to blame them for something that they have absolutely no control over (aka Third Party Developers) is just simply ridiculous. After all, it's not the gun who kills someone, it's the person pulling the trigger.

It seems like the Wii has plenty of titles that make the console worthy of bein called "good." Sure it is flooded with bad games, but beneath the trash there are plenty of gems.

Good for you... I know I have justified my £150 purchase of the Wii quite a few times over... Great 1st party titles, M+, Wii ware/VC titles and some very different 3rd party titles.
