I think that overall, the PS4 will be the most powerful. Here is my predictions for each console:

Wii 2

- more enhanced motion controls

- better graphics, maybe XBOX 360 level, but not at the level of the PS3

- still use dvd-9

- 40 gb harddrive

- Launch Price: $299

XBOX 720

- Duo core processor

- 1gb ram

- HD-dvd format

- 120gb harddrive

- gimped motion controls on the same 360 controller, with last gen rumble

- still no wireless wifi

- very limited backwards compatibility with the 360, no BC with original XBOX

- same online as current XBOX LIVE, $50 per month

- Launch Price: $699

PS4

- Octuple-Core Cell 2 Processor

- 3gb of ram

- blue ray drive + recorder

- 1 terrabyte harddrive

- next gen wifi

- built in eye-toy

- online service that is better than current XBOX LIVE and is free

- 100% full backwards compatibility with PS1, PS2, and PS3

- next gen controller than incorporates standard controller functions with next gen motion controls, and has next gen rumble

- Launch Price: $399

if anything, there may not be a ps4. MS and nintendo are already in the concept/design stages of the new consoles while son hasn't announced anything. sure a year or two ago sony was saying that the ps4 was not going to have a disc drive for its games but that was before they took a $4 billion dollar hit to the nuts in 6 months. this was before the realization set in that they'll be lucky to make a penny off of failstation 3.

Why would the PS4 be cheaper then the 720? Just based on what you wrote, a console like the PS4 would cost $600- $800 minimum, while something like the 720 would cost $350- $400 at MOST. By the way, the 720 will probably use Blu-ray, not HD-DVD. karasill

I'm pretty sure we're gonna need more than 1TB HDD for 50gb games but even that still doesn't even sound too off. remember back in the day when games are a couple mb and the word "Gigabyte" doesn't even exist?

i think that the dude is a cow, but anyways, he kinda has an over exagerated point. at $399 the ps3 right now offers more than the $399 360 elite(and dont tell me the elite has a larger hard drive, you can buy a $70 external 320gb hard drive that will work on the ps3, and the built in wifi and bluray more than make them even). thats just spec wise of course. as to which you think is better, that is a matter of personal taste
