I'm actually kind of disappointed. RYSE would have been a good reason for me to get a X1 next year, but after watching the review and game play... I wouldn't even play the demo if they decided to port it over to the PS4 now!

Who said it was downgraded because it was too demanding, that was never the case. The game has looked great all the way through development and has only got more polished over time.
That Alpha footage shows a bug where the enemy falls down the pit but is then knocked back out, this is something that does not exist in the full game.Therefor, the alpha footage is a bad representation.

Who said it was downgraded because it was too demanding, that was never the case. The game has looked great all the way through development and has only got more polished over time.

The game models polys have been reduced from 150k from the E3 version they showed to 85k in the final version, so I wouldn't consider that polishing. Why would they do that if the game was not too demanding?

Eh..... Ascension was good, but not impressive. But its hard to look impressive after GOW3
I had my XboxOne hooked up next to my ps3. I had both Ryse and Ascension running at the same time. And I was pretty shocked to see that Ascension looked far better than Ryse. That's the power of the PS3. Giving next gen a run for it's money.
