It's usually inevitable that I buy another console to accompany a Nintendo console, I don't plan it but it happened with the N64, happened with the Cube, and I'm pretty sure I will look for something to go with the Wii in the next year or two. The reasons this time are different, it's not the console's lack of titles and 3rd party support, it's just that if I want epic experiences with the power of the console playing a part in the immersion, then I have to go elsewhere.

So here's the thing, the 360 has a great library although I'm not convinced the library has that much variety, I'm also put off by the machines lack of stability, however you can buy one for an amazing price, which is attractive.

I'm not sure what it is though, but the PS3 is screaming out at me, why? Well, AFAIK we haven't had many reports of faulty consoles, the knowledge that Sony will get/has some solid exclusives and the thought of how amazing the last 2 consoles libraries were. I also believe that in a year or two's time the PS3 will be threatening the 360 sales-wise, and by then there may be some amazing titles out, not just that but titles that are more likely to appeal to me, however this is all dependant on a price-drop occuring, so how likely is that?

So, errr.. what to do really, is there anyone else here holding out for the PS3? Does anyone feel that the 360 will retain it's amazing library and not be outdone by the PS3?

Sorry for waffling, but something's drawing me to the PS3, and I'm not quite sure if it's all in my head or if there's some invisible writing on the wall that only I can read. If anyone has both consoles I'd like to hear impressions as well.

I would really get the 360 if it had Wi-Fi integrated (it is a big deal for me, my world is wireless) but because of that I'm torned between the 2. I like that the PS3 has blue ray and the major multiplats also which would be my only real reason to own one of the consoles, I have my Wii for exclusives. But I really would feel robbed if I had to spend 100 bucks on a wifi dongle for the xbox and not even get to play Hi-Def movies. Also if the PS3 drops to 399 it would be a much sweeter deal.

If you have a decent gaming PC, the PS3 is the obvious choice IMO.

I just got a Wii because the wiimote looked very fun and it still is but I believe in a year or so I would compliment it with a PS3 because more titles will hopefully be available on it and hi-def movies are gonna become a lot more popular but if you are looking to compliment your Wii immediately definetely get a 360 because it has awesome games and Halo 3 looks AMAZING and had been highly praised. Only thing it lacks is wifi and HD player which both have to be bought seperately adn that really sucks but otherwise if they integrate those in a new 360 version within a year I would definetely get a 360.

360 no doubt, but the worry of getting ringed comes along with that. Warranty helps I guess.

Imo, the PS3 is simply too lacking in quality games right now to legitimize a purchase. While with the 360 you will have Halo 3, Mass Effect, PGR 4, Bioshock and in early 2008 you will have Too Human, Splinter Cell Convictions and Alan Wake plus alll of the great multiplats!

Now if you are looking for overall bang for you buck, then yes the PS3 would be a great addition as a games console and as a movie player with its BluRay capabilities! The 360 however offers the best line up of GAMES and is also easier on your wallet as even a $399 PS3 is still $50 more than the 360 Premium!

360 to compliment your Wii would be my advice. As well as what I'll be doing. Although it has little variety when it comes to higher scoring games, it still is a safer bet than the PS3 at this point, and probably any other.
