Rumors of God of War II running in 720p on the PS3 were debunked after Gamingbits.com contacted a Sony Representative for confirmation. Ryan B. from Sony Computer Entertainment America stated the the Playstation 2 title is "only available at 480p."
There's like 2 million PS3 owners atm though compared to 110 million PS2 owners, don't you think most will be playing this game on their PS2 since it is a PS2 title?
It was already announced by a VIABLE resource as being 720 on the PS3 genius :roll:

If you're referring to IGN, then you should know they retracted their statement and concluded it will run in 480p only.
I call ownage there. cows were pretty excited about this being 720p and it somehow owning Lemmings. I wonder if they'll come in here. I hope they don't make me bump threads....
I remember this. I was banned lol but I remember reading a few threads about GoW being in 720p and how this would be great for PS3 owners.It was like a couple days ago. There were some cows who called the ownage with this...dont know why but they did.

Sucks. Big time. Although I never cared about 720p support. I don't want to see the '128-Bit Emotion Engine' graphics in a higher resolution, they're looking pretty dated as it is.
I've come to accept the fact that the BC on the Xbox 360 is great because a lot of titles are upscaled and look freakin' sweet. The PS3's BC is very nice within itself because of the sheer number of titles it can play.
