Confirmed: Metal Gear Solid 4 + Metal Gear Online = One Package

Since the announcement of Metal Gear Online, it's been left unclear whether or not it would be released as a standalone title or bundled together with Metal Gear Solid 4. It's only commonsense that the two should be paired together, but early talk didn't seem to suggest that they would be. Well, the January '08 issue of the new PlayStation: The Official Magazine (formerly PSM) was just dropped off in VG Blogger Matt's mailbox, headlined on the cover with exclusive confirmation that MGS4 and MGO are in fact being integrated into one value-packed MGS experience for the PS3. Hurray!

From what I recall of the article..(cant find my issue now:()..it mentioned character customization, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and 2 or 3 other modes with up to 16 players that will be included with MGS4 as MGO.

what hardcore gamer out there would pass up the chance to experience a metal gear solid styled game ONLINE how fun could this be? well ull only be able to find out on the ps3

this could be the next starcraft/wow/counterstrike if konami gets it right lke the single player epicness of the previous games an makes it perfect multi wow what a killer combo the 360 will bedead meat as far as online gamin is concerned an pc might haave to look out cuzpsn is free an not 15 bux a month like WoW

Haha, that is like a paragraph long..they do not explain anything..unless I am missing something. From what I read in the Playstation magazine it sounded like a full online mode...that is my guess to why it was delayed till Q2 because MGO wasnt coming till Q2.

well nothing was promised about MGO coming with MGS4....that's why.

That's what I heard. And a "starter pack" doesn't sound like a full version. Anywho I dont think MGS gameplay lends it self well to MP play.

From the vids I have seen it didnt look to amazing too. But MGS4 will be amazing regardless

hehehe, I'd buy a PS3 or Wii, but when I go into a new console generation I pick one and don't buy two, and if I buy another one (Wii), it's because my parents want a Wii (I know WTF? That's what I said too)

Well, PS3 has GT5, MGS4/MGSO, and FF12, maybe that will help its 2008 lineup. If not I can expect a port. Plus the whole fact that MGS4 will need to sell 1 miliion copies in a day, is impossible :|

Sony fans give Xbox owners such a hard time about having to buy extra content, but they think it's the second coming when it's announced that MGS will be sold with both SP and online in one box!!!! I guess their bar is that low.
