So, no price cut this year? "No," Yoshida replied. "It's too early."

so if you will...
PS Vita is worth the $250 they just need ot bundle it with a 8GB memory card and lower the prices of the others as they're ridiculous.FlamesOfGrey

Oh the Heavy Hitters are coming.
They have Persona 4, Playstation Battle AllStars, Call of Duty, and Assassin's Creed if I'm not mistaken and they look really good for the system.
lol, they are going to give it a price cut when they are good and ready, they still have the assassin creed bundle and got the cod bundle to go. The fact that they are working looking in on reducing the cost is great.

Those aren't heavy hitters. Persona 4 is a port from a niche JRPG series. COD looks like and will probably be ***. Playstation All Stars and Assassin's Creed will be playing second fiddle to the console versions.[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]

You are probably not familiar with the state of CoD Vita. It's a spinoff of the spinoff series Black Ops called BO: declassified and the trailer looks like horsecrap. The developers are reluctant to answer any questions regarding the game.

That has alot of potential. It's really going to depend on Sony's marketing and it's quality. Hardcore gamers can be ignorant though so, it may be too "cute" for alot of them.[QUOTE="FlamesOfGrey"][QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]

They can't drop it.
It's still selling for a loss.
They would have to cut back on the features if they wanted to do so.

Cod will be 100% flop, heck i don't think it'll be good sales wise either. Persona 4 = OK but not system seller, Assassin creed is not that good of a system seller either. If anything, probably killzone, as it's developed by Guerrilla themselves as I've heard somewhere.[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]

forgot about Killzone PSV.Oh, there is? Missed out completely :P. That's good then. Having said that, how many Vita unit can be moved depends on how good the game is, have to see more gameplay to decide. Also, the new PS3/Vita free game may push sales quite a bit me think. Also how can Assassin's Creed not be a System Seller? It has a Bundle.

Ive seen it and yes, it looks like a steaming pile of horse crap but the name will still reel in the suckers. It is the most poular franchise of the generation afterall (ung). And since when is blackops a spinoff?Shirokishi_That game flop in sale would gain me some faith in humanity :(.
In all seriousness would he tell us if they were planning it? "Hey everyone we're going to be dropping the price soon so don't buy one now, just wait for the cheaper version."
You should go work for Sony with your Doctor of Business Administration and give them your wealth of valuable knowledge and insight. You alone can save Sony and Vita!! :o Heil68
Sony as a company is doing the right thing to let PSV do its thing instead of investing in the platform by for example taking a massive loss which they really can't afford right now, so just focus on PS4 at this point.
It boils down to two things: Invest trucks of cash in Vita right now to retain your spot in the dedicated handheld gaming scene in the future (long term plan, high risk since the market could vanish in the future in favor of mobile gaming), or drop out for free (no losses, no risk, Nintendo regains monopoly, the downside is the potential gain is gone).

I don't think the COD games on DS did anything special regarding sales, so I doubt it will do all that well on Vita. You can't just rely on the name, if it was black ops 2 ported to the vita, sharing pretty much an identical game with the PS3 then it might do pretty well. A PS2 looking half assed game won't sell too well I don't think.

PS Vita cost 250euro in Europe. But Shirokishi is from I think Japan but I could be wrong (They played the Japanese version of Xenoblade Chronicles two years before he played the North American version) But either way when you convert the currency it is still over $300.[QUOTE="AtariKidX"][QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]

Really? I got my PS3 Slim for $300 in 2009, 3 years after launch and I ordered 12 games, most of them very cheap, while my friend who's a huge Sony fanboy got a PS3 day one for $599 and had amassed a whooping 10 games by that time.
Just play the multiplats on the PC for the time being, and you'd only be loosing out on a few exclusives. This way you also avoid potential YLoD/RRoD situations.
I got the Wii day 1 because it has only gone down $100 after 6 years, the unit is still working great and most 1st party games are still full priced. Talk about value.
