I'm totally confused with the interviews and E3. Is the game being delay?

I'm a little confused too. There's a story about it on the front page of N4G- apparently the PS3 version has not been delayed and work on the 360 version will not begin until the PS3 version is completely finished. So does this mean it's a timed exclusive for the PS3? Because if PS3 owners have to wait an extra 6 months - 1 year to play their version just because of the 360 version, that is complete BS.Floppy_JimThey won't start on the 360 version until the Japanese version of FF13 is finished (PS3 only) AFAIK. Therefore, the PS3 US version will still be delayed...because of the localization process. Now, will it take longer than porting to the 360? Don't know.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that's exactly how it is. The 360 version of the game won't start development until the Japanese version of the PS3 version is released and localization starts and unfortunately, Square is promising a simultaneous release on both consoles.

I wish it was TE just so it could come out early. It's still exclusive in Japan so they'll probably get it by next year. Who knows when the rest of the world will get it.

If taht is true, then we won't see this game in 2010 and we'll probably won't see VSXIII till 2011 or 2012.[QUOTE="RurouniSaiyajin"][QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]I'm a little confused too. In the time it'll take to finish the 360 version of the game, development for the japanese version of the game should be wrapped up. So we might only have wait the usual localization time longer after the release of the main FF XIII

Ah, I see. So US gets it later than Japan and here in Europe, we get it even later than the US. Great.

That's ridiculous. The 360 gets The Last Remnant and Star Ocean 4 as timed exclusives and the PS3 can't even get FF13 as a timed exclusive? Square said they would support all consoles equally this gen and so far, that isn't happening. KH3 announced as a PS3 exclusive at TGS would even things out though.
Doubt it. Betting it's going to the Wii--better target audience. That's ridiculous. It was rumoured in a recent Offcial PS3 Magazine that it would indeed be announced as an exclusive at TGS. But I could easily see it going multi-plat, to both PS3 and Wii. That Nomura guy is supposed to be a big Sony fan, I doubt he would want to screw them over again after the FF13/360 annoucement.
[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]Doubt it. Betting it's going to the Wii--better target audience. lol Just cause it has disney characters doesn't mean it's automatically a Wii-casual game. The story is pretty complicated and KH2 was not a kids game(story-wise). And i think Nomura wants to make the Kingdom hearts series have a darker tone. That's ridiculous. *sigh*
Why can't people just accept that KH3 won't be announced any time before Birth By Sleep is released?

Which system is more likely to have 10-and-ups playing it (note this includes adults)? For that matter, which system has a bigger overall audience and therefore a better chance of turning a good result on the game? Plus, the art style used in the KH series probably wouldn't be what one could consider computationally taxing, so the Wii's hardware could probably produce a good result. That's ridiculous. Although I can't disagree, I can't agree either. Nomura and the Kingdom Hearts team likes developing for handhelds and the PS3. IF anything Square would probably give in....and give it to the PS3. It is what Nomura would probably want. Its either that or a handheld. PLus when FF XIII and Versus XIII drop the user base will be big enough to support the game.
spuare enix is always so busy with ports, spins off, and whatnot, that i dont know what to think anymoreDante2710
Yes, I'm sure the FFXIII teams are working on DS games during their lunch breaks. I mean, portable games certainly wouldn't have their own teams working on them... that would make no sense!
