I want to see your face when the Ps4 is shown in 2010.

Not to mention, I'm completely happy with generation jumps every 4-5 years. I like my consoles not becoming too archaic by PC standards, and less than $100 per year doesn't sound like an investment I have trouble with, hardwarewise.

As for the rest of your thread... well, those $400 USD (actually, $454 USD for me, not in the US) have given me much more fun for much longer than those $600 (actually, $864, again, not in the US) would have from november until now.

I'd like some nice high-def movies, yes. Then again, I rarely commit to an unproven format. I don't want to have another DVD-A player gathering dust.

(Also, Blu-Ray is not going to be the exclusive format, alot ppl own dvd and will take years before they owna Blu-Ray player, which means DVDs will still be sold, I feel sorry for you, cause KenKutugari wanted to look smart, but instead looked like a fool...where is henow??? he was demotedbySony, cause that crap aint sellin well.

So back to the topic at hand...Why are we still talking about this? Yes, the PS3 is a good deal; generally the more you pay, the better deal you get for your money (which is why the concept of the "bundle" exists, for example). However, $600 for a gaming system isn't a good idea, and the wretched PS3 sales are proof of this. Did I have to spend money to get a wireless adapter for my 360? Yeah, I bought one for $50 from a friend. Do I have to pay extra if I want an HD-DVD player? Sure, but luckily I have no desire for one at this time. What I do have a desire for, is good games. So in lieu of buying the PS3, I bought a 360 anda Wii. What does that give me? The 360's awesome lineup (you know, the one with all the same games the PS3 has, except generally better graphics and online play, not to mention all the games the PS3 doesn't have), plus Zelda, Mario, Metroid and at the moment, a $30 version of Resident Evil 4 for the Wii (excellent control, by the way). Meanwhile, if I had a PS3, what would I be playing? Oh, that's right, God of War II. If not, I'd be playing a crappy port of F.E.A.R., an okay port of Rainbow Six (with worse graphics), or maybe a game I bought in November (Resistance). The fact of the matter is, 360 owners have much more to show for their money than PS3 owners do. And as the exclusives keep jumping over to the 360, that investment looks better and better...
