Considering selling my Ps3...

I like online play, love rpgs (ie. Final Fantasy series), and love exclusives... Thus Ps3 seemed like a great system to buy. But, 360 has far greater online system as a whole and obviously rpgs aren't so exlcusive anymore. FF XIII is even iffy. Sony is losing almost all their exclusives. Their lucky to have kept MGS. I really don't see the point anymore...

Its not like PS3 isnt going to get SO 4 adn Remnant and such, itll jsut be a little bit alter. IF anything this is good because It could give devs time to improve it. black_awpN1

Being the console getting the short end of the stick for a timed exclusive is never a good thing. It is not a big deal, like not getting the game at all, but you can not blow this off that easy.

Either way you look at it, hold off until late in the year for two reasons:

1) They may be announced as multiplat or whatever.

2) Xbox 360s will be cheaper.

But I want NG 2 more then MGS4 and later this month Atlus lands on the 360 with Operation Darkness. I may be one of the very few gamers that is really looking forward to that game but I love Atlus and can not wait for that game.

Opinions are nice but the ps3 has just been a bust of a system so far. I am not going to sell mine because I think that will change. If you own more then one system and think the ps3 is living up to its potential I think you are delusional.

So many good games on the ps3? The only ps3 exclusives I have liked so far are HS and Uncharted. But both those games put together will not give me more then 20 hours of game-play.

In the first year and a half on the 360 I already had games that I liked a lot better. Including Dead Rising, which is on my short list.

Every time I walk into the store and stare at the ps3 section I am severely disappointed. It will be nice to walk into the game store later this month and have a game I want to play sitting on the shelf.

But so far the ps3 has really, really sucked.

I also forgot Warhawk, a game I despise. Sadly I DL'ed the game off PSN so its just sitting on my hard drive taking up space.

I can stare at the ps3 line-up for an hour and any game I have wanted to play is also on the 360, while the 360 has been getting exclusives I want. Not to mention I rented AC recently for the 360 to burn through it for achievements and having a carrot on a stick to chase made the game a lot more fun on the 360.

I feel bad for gamers set on loving a Sony machine because the 360 has just slaughtered the ps3 so far this generation in terms of games.

I did not go into this with a bias against Sony, either. I think the ps2 is the greatest console of all time. But everything that made the ps2 so great has been lost to MS so far.

At this point the only substantial thing I can point too on the ps3 that I really want is FF13. Other then that I am just holding out hope that there will be a big turn around.

Actually I have played, or tried to play Resistance. I am not going to say the game blows but I did not like it all. I despised the MP but I am sure the community was a lot better when the game was younger.

An FPS game with no score limit and unlimited ammo is not my idea of fun. That was about the only state I could find joinable games.

I understand that in this day in age a console like the ps3 needs a good shooter in it's library but I thought Resistance was just a "me too" game.

I really, really wanted to like Folklore, but I don't.

There are a ton of things I like about the ps3 hardware itself more then the 360.

The ps3 is almost totally silent when its running. Although, I never notice my 360 except when there is no audio coming from the game at all. Even ambient sounds cover it up, but still.....

I really like the OS better. I hate turning on my 360 and having a Dorritos add pop up or something like that. Especially when I am paying for the service.

The control pads are a toss up but I like the look of the ps3 pad a lot more then the 360 pad. But shooters I prefer on my 360 pad. But really, I would much rather use the mouse+keys over any pad.

I like installing games if it reduces load times.

Even though there are a few games I really want on my ps3 the 360 still trumps it this year though. More JRPG's for the 360 this fall. I am still only half way through the third disc on LO as well. I like the game and its getting better but its not in my top 5 list of JRPG's or something. Unless I replace my video card Left4Dead will be on the 360 for me, which is ok. Besides, I have several friends on the 360 I want to play it with. But Fable is the game I want most for the remainder of this year. That will be on the PC eventually but I always like to get a game sooner rather then later.

When it comes down to games the ps3 is just along for the ride and MS in in charge.

why would you sell it and miss out on good games? i aint touched my 360 or wii for ages now but im keeping them because i know down the line i will want to play something on them at some point

I do have a Ps3 o_O. The main thing I play is Rock Band and Devil May Cry 4. And it seems that people who have Rock Band are more active on the 360. And there are achievements on the 360 for DMC that would give you more of a reason to play it. As well as Assassin's Creed. Single player games would be much more meaningful on the 360. Or maybe it's just me that thinks that.

Getting a 360 while keeping my Ps3 would be nice. If only I could find the money.
