...console decision... help!!

wii or xbox 360?! can't decide.... both such good consoles.... i need some reasons....

i know xbox 360 has beautiful graphics... but the wii control seems really fun....

Wii controls are really fun, but it usually has the worst version of multiplatform games. It has some nice exclusives (Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario for example) amongst a sea of shallow, family-oriented, party-type games. The VC is nice if you're into retro-gaming and it also has some nifty features like daily news and weather reports, the latter of which will likely be integrated into future games.

The 360 has a bunch of great games that are both deep and look awesome to boot. The downside is that you'll have to pay to play online, it doesn't support wireless network connection and it has some serious reliability issues. If you do buy a 360, either buy it from Costco, or buy an extended warranty, or buy it with a credit card that offers extra protection on electronic videogame console purchases.

You can't really go wrong with either, though the 360 has a bigger library of games at the moment.

Are you a really big Mario, Zelda and Metroid fan????? If so then get a Wii, if not then definately get a 360...... or just get a 360 now and slowly save to get a Wii... or vice versa....

I have both consoles and I really like what both of them have to offer..... the Wii mote is alot of fun and I like aiming in Zelda by pointing at the screen.

However I cant help but be disappointed with the Wii's visuals, I mean Nintendo could have beefed the machine up a bit, couldn't they? I hope I'm wrong, but it does really seem as though the Wii is just a Gamecube with a nice controller.

Sorry I know I'm not much help. In short the 360 is the safe bet. You'll either love or hate the Wii, me thinks!

that about sums it up...if you like the Nintendo franchises buy Wii if not buy 360 because I think it is the best overal system with the best overal games...

also and no1 get mad at me if you are 14 or less but Wii, if not buy 360 alot of games that will be good on 360 will be rated M and I don't think people under 16 should play them...all though ESRB says 18, I say if you can drive you can play Gears

I'de go with the 360. Nothing against the Wii, but, like with all consoles, you shoud wait till they get some more games out. The 360 already has a good selection of great games, and has alot more comming out this year (Halo 3, GTA 4, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed).

Do a bit of reaserch and buy the one you think appeals to you more :)

I have a wii and love it but i want a 360, because i love the fun lighthearted mario/zelda type nintendo games on the wii, yet i love fast paced action games such as the halo series at the same time.
