Haze has just been beaten down in just about everyway, the only thing it has left is it's Nectar game mechanic, imo not enough to take on a now generation building franchise that's about to go out in style. The real fight now comes between Halo and Unreal for the first time, and graphics engine aside, Epic has a lot to prove when it claims it'll actually have an involving story. I loved Gears, still play it, but I really hope that doesn't represent Epic's A game in making a plot line.

We all know Unreal will look better and gererally be awesome, but Halo will deliver on everything fans have been asking for and more... I leave you with this, Unreal has always been fun to play, looked great, and if you find yourself with the right group it can get fairly deep, but it's not really memorable; Meaning that sweet tele-frag, or triple kill your so proud of lingers for about a second and then it's gone. Halo has always been built to make fond memories, and Halo 3 is designed around making those memories last even longer.

3 years from now, which will you remember more?

For me, best memories will be between Halo 3 and Bioshock

halo 3 will have the best singleplayer, Ut 3 will have the best multiplayer and haze...well, will be worse than either probably.

In my humble opinion ofcourse.

UT and Halo are two very different things. I hope the plot they put in UT is simple and not suck and be corny like it did in Gears.

Great, and as Shadow run proved there isn't a whole lot of console love for an MP only game, Unreal better come with more then that if they hope to dominate the console market. So far they haven't had the strongest console following... a lot to prove.

I loved playing Gears, as noted, but it'll be a step up if they manage to connect simple plot points this time around. I know they didn't write it, but they damn sure didn't do it any justice if it ever was completed script.

And, if they go simple they'll fail to make that truely great SP connection, and thus become a mere MP centric console FPS... allowing mods is an X factor though. It'll be an interesting fight.

I'm most excited about Haze, primarily because of who is developing it. I wouldn't write it out of the competition yet.

apparently, biochock is getting massively great reviews so far (ive heard pc gamer 95/100 and uk oxm 10/10 so far). no clue if exactly true or not, but all signs point to bioshock possibly being the best fps like game this year with ease.

Why bring up Bioshock? It has a completely different style than Halo, UT, and Haze.

What?!?!?! HAZE will be the best! Anyone remember Timesplitters? Haze is keepiing a low profile, you know little about the game itself, and the game's multiplayer. Timesplitters had the best splitscreen and good online. Keep Haze up there, it is definatly not out of the game yet.

I never knew con-artists could create quality AAA games such as Unreal Tournament, UT04, Gears and Championship or maybe its the lemmings that stabbed Epic in the back after they announced Gears PC with exclusive content.

Who really cares about Haze. I thought Timesplitters games were horrible. The map editor was more like a room creator, and a lame one at that. I know Haze is completely different, but I think people with high expectations don't know what they are thinking.

I think I'll have more fun in Halo multiplayer than UT3. I haven't even looked into Haze other than the first trailer, which seemed really corny.

Multiplayer >>>>>>>> Single player forever

I love how everyone just writes off Haze and is calling it bargain bin material... You'll all be in for a surprise when it does come out and blows your mind.

I'm just going to assume anyone who bashes Haze, doesn't know much about it. Because I can't see anyone that knows a lot about the game bashing it, Haze is just too awesome. :S

I wish it looked like it was going to be awesome. Your post made me watch the E3 trailer for it and I wasn't even interested enough to watch it all the way through. I think you will find yourself disappointed when the game comes out.

Well, all I can say is that I'm sorry you'll be missing out on a great game. I know for a fact I will not be disapointed in Haze. I trust Free Radical when it comes to first person shooters.

Asuming all of us who are not excited about Haze to be unknowlegdable about named game is quite redundent, I am sorry I researched up, not excited. Maybe if I am persented with something that makes me want the game, I shall purchase it, but currently no. So stop assuming we don't read and watch up on this game, and say weblinding throw it aside.

You're right, I was wrong to make that assumption. But with my experience on SW with Haze, what I said is always true. It's always uninformed bitter Lemmings bashing the game, and they end up knowing absolutely nothing about it.

Halo will dominate online for the 360 while UT3 will do the same for the PS3. When 360 gets UT3 it will do well but it won't pass Halo 3.

I don't post without research, I think Haze might have a decent chance to be agreat game(didn't care for timesplitters or 2 much, and I logged a ton of hours in the first due to lack of launch titles... From dusk till dawn anyone).IMO, with Halo 3's recent barrage of new news, all the extras, reliable game play, ect... Haze will stay in the shadows. Name one thing Haze has over Halo 3 feature wise, you'll come up short.

Haze might get off the ground, but it won't fly for very long. It does however have the potential to be the next series after Halo : )

I guess the 2 games are equal feature wise... But I do know that Halo 3's co op is apparently being tacked on. As in, Bungie is only putting in the game because of the big outcry from the media and fans. Where as with Haze, Free Radical has wanted to make the game with full 4 player online/offline seamless drop in/out co-op since the planning stages of the game. So I guess you could infer that Haze's co-op system would be much better than Halo 3's... Other than that, yeah the games are pretty much equal feature wise.

And why do you think it "won't fly for very long"? Whatever that means...

Just being announced and tacked on are two very different things. Bungie has been keeping as much info as possible quiet until recently. Personally they should have just hinted instead of making all of these announcements now that it's nearly launch time, it would have been cool find out all this stuff for myself... but that's the way it's going down. Online Co-op has been planned from pretty much the start, they even admit it's the one feature fans demanded be added to Halo2... and to implement something that complex with all the added replay options (point systems) this late in the game would have been suicide. It's been in there, they just didn't want to talk about it, give them a little credit.

And by fly I mean with the variety of games coming out this holiday and early next year, Haze is in the prime position to get passed over, especially in the initial run.

Like I've said before, this is probably the best line up in history (#'s wise) and worse layout at the same time; too many games are must buys, and people will have to choose for the first time in a long time. I know I'm not gonna be able to buy every game I want at or around launch, probably won't pick up COD4 till next year. Haze is just coming at a bad time to be able to stand out. Halo will fly, Unreal will fly, GTA will fly, Mass Effect will fly. the then there's still Bioshock (a personal favorite), Assassin's Creed, Army of Two maybe, Burnout, Skate, Orange Box (a big one), ect... And that's just consoles.

Handhelds are going all out, PC has a decent line up, hell Crysis might actually have legs and be the best FPS out since theoriginal Half-Life... stop me if I'm rolln' here, but where again does Haze fit into all this beyond the moderate fan base it's been garnering as of late? Haze could be the next great console series, but it's coming under heavy fire out of the gate, and Free Radical has only opened eyes when things are slow and they can be appreciated (a history lesson). This is not slow.
