Console Gamer to PC Gamer / PC Gamer to Console Gamer

This post is intended to give me or anyone else a good but not very accurate sample size on the satifisaction of people who have jumped boats between Console and PC.

One should only cast a vote IF!!

-One has jumped from one platform to another within Three Years of this Posting. (2008, 2009, 2010) (If one owns all machines, use the machine you use the most as your point of reference.)

Note: Your POS EeePC or anything underpowered that can not be considered a Gaming PC should not be used in anyway to judge your choice.

-If you are a full hardcore console gamer and have never owned a gaming PC, DO NOT VOTE!

-If you are a full hardcore PC Gamer and have never owned a console, DO NOT VOTE!

-If you are sad with your choice....then TOO BAD! This is a postive post =)

BTW - Handhelds and Mobiles Don't Count (PSP, DS, Gameboy, Android Powered, iDevices, Sega Gamegear, etc)

I play on my PC and console

I used to game on the PC in the nineties but when I got my PS2 and Gamecube I stopped. This gen I went back to the PC, I like the PC a lot more (I also own a Wii, PS3, and 360). SAGE_OF_FIRE

I went from Arcade to consoles to PC. But all that happened more than a decade ago.

I haven't jumped from anything, I started as a pc gamer and still am mainly a pc gamer.

last gen i was mostly pc but i went consoles this gen for a while. back in 07 wii was doing awful so i sold it and got a ps3 . My pc was dying and i missed pc gaming a bit . After all the talk of how 1337 pc sounded from hermits i went back in thinking the grass was greener on the other side . In some ways it was but over all i felt a bit let down. Most of the exclusives i want are on consoles these days . But i did enjoy the better hardware on the pc side . Right now i am gaming on wii mostly . So many amazing games nintendo has put out .

i was a pc then went to console now back to PC . that dosent mean i dont play consoles ,but i find myself now playin more on my pc

edit: then again this has been over 12 years and not just this gen consoles

Why cant we just play games no matter what "box" they come from?

I used to game on my computer when I had my N64 and Dreamcast(One of the best consoles of all time), but I didn't really get into PC gaming till after owning the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox. I did own a Xbox 360, but I rarely used it. I had to get a new computer and I really didn't have as much time to sit on the couch and game as I had before, so I decided to build my own computer for gaming and work. I quite like being able to work on my computer, alt tabbing to game for a couple hours, and then going back to my work without having to go somewhere else or having to turn something else on.

Oh yeah, and I was gonna buy a PS3, but I bought a gaming laptop instead, because I needed a laptop for University anyways ;)

Consoles since sega/nintendo

Not eligable to answer, since I have designated certain genres between my PC and Console. I have had the 1 console, 1 PC & 1 handheld combo for as long as I can remember.

Console to PC.

I went from PC to consoles. As the PC I used as a kid aged, I bought a 360, not being able to afford a rig fitting to my satisfaction. I want badly to go back to PC gaming though.

I play whatever I can at any given time. Just finished up another playthrough on New Vegas on my 360 and just downloaded Planescape:Torment from GOG.com

I'm not really either. I started as a PC player, then got into consoles for the sixth generation and the beginning of the current gen, and in that last year or two I've gotten back into PC gaming while keeping my consoles in use.

In the last ten years or so I switched from being a part time PC gamer, full time console gamer to being a full time PC gamer, part-time console gamer. It doesn't look like it's going to switch back anytime soon.

I do both,I don't time it though nor do I label myself as a console or pc gamer.

I started with Nintendo I guess. I quickly switched to PC gaming in the 90's though. Then I went to PS2 and back to PC a few years later. I currently have a 360 as well but it is currently collecting dust because I am bored of Forza 3...

I play games. The only platform I don't play games on is the handhelds. That's just personal choice.

I was a hardcore Nintendo follower, as you can tell by my username I made for gamespot years ago :lol: Then I got Battlefield 1942 and it hooked me (during Gamecubes gen). I still love nintendo but I primarily PC game now.

Guess I'm not technically a PC gamer yet since it hasn't come in yet :cry: but I still have my 360 and Wii around collecting dust. Tired of paying for their over priced games. Been rocking my DS with Pokemon Heart Gold the past few days though 8)
