Even if you don't add the hd-dvd drive.
Is this true?
===============================
EDIT: Let's not forget the cost of warranty which many suggest it is a must-get for 360. While the wii and ps3 is less prone to massive hardware failures.

Yes, but as MS stated its about choice some people might not want HD-DVD or Xbox live so they shouldnt have to pay for it
Yep its true.ghoulsandghost
You left out the Ferrari. Fact: if you can't buy a 360 and put it in the back seat of your Ferrari, you can't play games on it. Theres hardware that prevents this. Thats what the RROD means. You didn't buy the mandatory Ferrari so you can't play games.
Similar to so-called ethernet cables. Its a blatant lie that you can use ethernet to connect networks. The Ethernet Enforcement Embassy (also known as E3, don't be fooled... the games are all a clever disguise for what really happens at the conference) is ran by the 5 largest corporations in the world. They meet and dictate that all companies and educational institutes must buy ethernet cables and plug them into so called "ethernet ports" on their computers. The station are all actually connected wirelessly, but if companies don't buy the cables, E3 will impose black market restrictions on them that will run them out of business.
Its a shady game, but its the game they play. Sony bucked the trend and they have payed dearly. E3 and its cohort Microsoft launched a rival disc format solely to sabotage Sony. Exxon (Another E3 member) has been raising oil cost so that Sony couldn't manufacture the plastic used in its system cheaply. Sony has valiantly held on, but the road has been tough.
Yes, 4 the 40gb PS3..80gb bout the same.Heil68
Last I checked, 160GB laptop drive only cost around $100 and a 250GB cost around $130-160, and a 320GB at $160-$200
If you want BC that bad, why not just get a ps2, since it is still selling and cheaper.
