Keyboards are amazing for gaming (well, a Nostromo n52te, which is kind of a keyboard. You didn't answer my question however, how do you deal with the tank simulator loss of control? Yes, we all know PC is the superior platform, but for all the wrong reasons. Console control methods are unusable for an enthusiast gamer.Same way people can play with the abyssmal keyboard. It's not that hard.

Seriously ??? How long have you been asking this question since the NES came out ? If you're still not used to it by now then just give up and stick to your desktop gaming.rasengan2552I can play competitvely with a controller, because everyone else is using the same limited method. That is why consolites never reach the skill level of PC gamers.

If you want to couch game get a console.
The control settings and such are specifically made for a controller.
If you tried it and didn't like it, well that's just you, my games feel great to me.

I can couch game with my PC, and have improved visuals / framerate / mods. That isn't my point. My point is the so called 'gaming' console uses an abysmal method for controlling the avatar. Making all games feel like a tank simulator. If you want to couch game get a console.

Oh look, someone who is terrible at using a controller. You know how they sell keyboards for disabled people? Pretty sure they have controllers like that too so you don't have to stress your weak little hands playing games.
How you can play Skyrim with broken keybindings like those though, I don't even know. Honestly, I just use motioninjoy for half the games I play on PC (including any game with flying and Elder Scrolls).
But hey, if some people want to play a game where they have to stretch their hands all over just to fly a chopper or go to the magic menu, that's your problem. Plus I'm sure those special needs keyboards don't require as much stretching, right?
Isn't Haberman the dud who always had the Clint Eastwood avatar?

If he is, then he is really terrible at ban dodging to get recognized so easily.

It's not the same as the mouse, but at least it's more comfortable than curling your fingers closely to move someone. I have a relative who used to post here. But to honor her memory, I found a Clint avatar pic. Back to topic: Yes, control sensitivity is key for immersion. I am a pro with a controller, however, the skill limit is capped much like playing softball. You don't NEED a mouse for immersion, unless you have gamed with a mouse, then you realize just how bad a controller is.Haberman_13
Oh, I see douchebaggery runs in the family...

Honestly, I don't think two annoying fanboys this bad can exist in the same family (at least, not this bad), and I don't think I'd be so unoriginal I just take the exact same name and picture as "honoring the memory of a relative".
Just, terrible ban dodging right here folks, with a terrible explanation to boot. I mean, there was a reason he was gone, and I'm guessing he ignored it to go back to doing what made him gone.

Or the various manticores here that can use a controller just fine after playing on PC?

Hilarious. This supposed ban-dodge didn't happen. Also, I am a PRO with a controller, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying, compared to a mouse / KB its abysmall in comparison, and is extremely bad for gaming.[QUOTE="lundy86_4"][QUOTE="Haberman_13"] My relative who was banned from here, was banned at least a year ago. I only game with mouse and keyboard now and I can understand what you mean. However, with practice playing with the controller is just as easy. Now maybe you won't be able to get quite the same precision as a mouse, but it is possible to play a FPS with a controller and still be good at it (even without the aids such as auto aim). I use to play goldeneye with a controller (N64) with the just the same skill as playing half life with a mouse. It just takes practice. Having said that, putting the two against each other and the M/KB will always win (given the user is proficient).

I appreciate the response. However I think you are wrong. It's a handicap thing, yes you can 'perfect' controller movement to a point, but you can never get past the tank-simulator threshold. In the end the controller simply isn't meant to be an immersive gaming device, it merely 'gets the job done' just like the consoles themselves.[QUOTE="lundy86_4"]

I like how in that shining masterpiece of a thread, he says the PC version of BC2 doesn't have health regeneration, has bullet drop (when apparently consoles don't), and a bunch of other hidden features consoles don't have.
Its hilarious, because it makes him seem ignorant not just with consoles, but with PC's too! I mean, I've played both versions, and its hilarious that he could be so pro PC gaming, then after all that time apparently playing BC2 to know the differences, he doesn't realize there is health regeneration on PC and everything other then the 8 extra players is exactly the same.
Its like someone saying Uncharted is better then Gears because it doesn't have a cover system. Either they are really bad at trolling, or they're really bad at Uncharted (and never realized it had a cover system).
Anyways this thread gave me a good laugh, so its good for that at least. It also proves that Elitist quote wrong, the one that says "people who know things are called elitist". Which goes to show, some elitists are probably a few IQ points short of breaking average (and btw, I kind of hate directly insulting someone, but these new rules are so nice for making a nice quip against a fanboy with fear ofr moderation).

So, I'm dumb is your response? In other words you have no real data / argument. BC2 on consoles has auto-aim, minimal bullet drop, health regen (on PC that is a server option). Sometimes you just want to play softball, I get it. However, people that desire true competition play BC2/BF3/FPS on PC. Consoles were developed with a skill ceiling in mind that allows all age groups to compete.Sorry, you are wrong.
