Consoles have nothing else left

Even the 8GB of GDDR5 that was paraded round by consolites is no more as PC gamers are getting their own 8GB of GDDR5!

Meh....only Naughty Dog knows how to get the most out of teh 8 GB of GDDR5. It will be useless on PC.

There's only 1 console. Wii U. I don't know why everyone keeps on saying that X1 and PS4 are consoles. They're closed PCs with a locked down OS and can't be upgraded.

So a single GPU, that will be able to be installed onto a motherboard in tandem with another (either SLi or Crossfire), has as much RAM as both the PS4 and Xbone.

Consoles that focus on technological advances rather than games are going to become a thing of the past soon.

I'm more excited for the sure to be coming $100-$130 cards with 3gb-4gb of VRAM that will absolutely destroy consoles in every measurable way.

What I got from that was the consoles are potentially going to receive upgraded versions. People laughed when I suggested this would happen (oh the horror!)

So yep another advantage to PC, we don't need to replace the entire machine when a component gets out of date.

I don't think I will be able to. PS4 will have Persona 5. Persona supercedes literally everything else.

And all of it is actually usable by games, not that any game actually needs that much VRAM, but I guess if you have a 4k monitor it might be worth it.

Yeah but the top of line components are almost as expensive anyway....so over the lifetime you can conceivably spend more to play the same games. Another console advantage. Updating is not necessary for several years.

Okay, I'm going to ask some questions of which have been bugging since I first saw this "PC MASTER RACE" by Youtubers. What's the point in saying that PC's are BETTER than consoles when we're getting the same thing either way? I mean, sure, PC's can handle much more than a console, can do much more than a console, hell, can even be upgraded if you have the money to spare on upgrades and whatnot. and this whole thing with caring about FPS is just frustratingly annoying as all hell. Just because the Xb360/1 or PS3/4 (which I believe the latter newer consoles are above all, amazing with graphics, even though what you can get on consoles, you can also get on PC) have lower unstable frame rate drops (er, what I mean is the last-gen frame rate drops as compared to current-gen frame rate drops) which can drop at amazing rates (like Oblivion for instance, I can tell that that game for the 360 is total hell what with the frame rate drops and frame tearing), which can't really compare to that of a PC's FPS. But seriously, why so much hatred towards consolites? Me, being a former PC gamer, turned console gamer because I just cannot afford the price of a top notch PC at the moment, just cannot understand the point behind all this. I praise both PC and Consoles for the amazing, brilliant and talented work put on these systems. calling yourselves "The Master Race" is like the Nazi's or Russians calling themselves the Master Race. Okay, maybe that was a horrible comparison, but hopefully somebody catches my drift.

Yes, I grew up on PC gaming, because that's what my father liked; I was introduced to Duke Nuke'em 3d, Wolfenstein 3d and Doom. And in High School, I was introduced to Diablo and Diablo II/LOD, of which I put a ton load of hours into XD and Starcraft, which I could careless about - except for the protoss, they are an awesome alien race. :)

So once again, I will ask, what's the point of all this nonsense going on about PC gamers being "THE MASTER RACE" above any console gamer? Please, somebody, enlighten this uneducated man.

It's satire that originated out of one of Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation videos. Only a small percentage of people actually take the whole PC Master Race thing seriously, just like only a small percentage of console people think that the human eye can't see above 30 fps.

I know it's a joke thread, but I don enjoy the ease of use of consoles and their exclusives, which makes them a must buy for me. I can see myself dropping Nintendo next gen and sticking with PC, Sony and MS.
