Maybe console gaming just isn't for me anymore but Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Halo 4, Fable whatever, Resident Evil 6, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed Vita, The Ellen Paige movie with a bad script and even worse acting, God of War Ascension, Playstation long name Smash Bros ripoff, and Far Cry 3 and pretty much everything else all look completely unappealing. Everything everyone is going crazy over is so focused on presentation and story that they completely forget to mention how crappy the actual gameplay is.
Let's look at Watchdogs. The Red Dead Redemption level auto-aim was kind of ridiculous, he locked onto enemies with the gun even though they were behind cover and not even facing him! Everyhing will be too easy and everyone will write reviews for it as if it was a movie. Just read some of Carolyn Petit's and Kevin Vanord's reviews, half the time they sounds they're praising a damn Stanley Kubrick film.
It's like games forgot about gameplay and then realized we can now make "experiences" which forget the whole point of gaming in the first place. I should get back to drawing which I've all but given up on. Good thing I've gotten into the enthusiast part of the PC hobby because I'd be bored to tears playing half the new stuff that comes out because running benchmarks them is just as entertaining as playing most of them.
