Consoles this generation are complete trash.

My 360 has broken 3 times! 3 that is complete trash!

I thought oh no big deal my PS3 wont break... I WAS WRONG guess what happened when i turned it on yesterday. YLOD Yellow light of death. Yellow light followed by flashing red light. I call sony and tell them i have already had 3 PS2's DRE on me last gen, and i felt they owed me a free fix for this (It broke 2 months after Warranty ended. They felt differently.

On the Wii - Not a major gaming console, but at least it works.

Ill just stick to my pc. SCREW CONSOLES.

That's when you decide to get a DS.

Then obviously its your fault, how do you go through that many consoles unless you are screwing something up. You either have them sitting on carpet or a very small enclosed place. Either way its not good for them.

if id been through3 360's,2 PS2and a PS3 i would be asking myself if im looking after my thing well enough. sounds like your room is a console graveyard.

id recommend getting some air dusters and blowing the fans out now and again.

it sounds to me like your room is too hot, the main reason consoles "break" is overheating, you need to lay ur 360 flat, and stand ur ps3 up,, i put my 360 on a basket so the bottom vents are exposed, also i put a housefan on towards the side vents ont he 360 (opposite side as the HDD) and i put aq fan on towards the front vents of my ps3 (under the disc tray, by the usb holes) i bet if u ido this they would not have broken

And my PC has never got a virus or never overheats when it isn't taken care of :roll:

I've never had a problem with my consoles and all I do is dust them off every few weeks. My PC, however, I had to open up and clean the dust off the inside, plus I have the problem of computer viruses ....

the 360 is a piece of junk, and im not alone on that breaking 3 times.

The ps3 is probably bad luck, but Sony is a peice of **** company who won't do the right thing and fix somthing i paid $500 for.

I wouldn't just discount the wii like that. As you said, it works. Plus its the most owned console, has the most software (though a lot is bad), most quality exclusives, and offers something you simply can't get from the other consoles.

It's like a handheld...except for your TV...

I don't think i am alone on having trouble with the PS2 or the 360. Consoles are pieces of garbage. I am pissed that sony wont do the right thing and fix this.

360 Failure rate is like 54% i think and ps3 is like 11% yea they really are selling a qulity product.

Guess what TC...My launch 360 lasted 8 months..No warranty no nothing...Bought another one "dumb me" 2 months later and it has been in for repair 4x now. But I get mine fixed for free so im not gonna go totally nuts here...

BUt to put things in perspective...My wife and I bought a new hd 32"tube type tv back in 05..We bought a 32"lcd flat tv in early 06. Both have died already and neither one have a warranty.

So believe me when I say...NOTHING is built well these days...NOTHING..My mom has my Gmas old tv from the 80s that works perfectly still to this day. What do we do??? I have no idea...Im sick and tired of everything these days breaking.

How do you go through that many consoles? I have never had a console failure happen to me and I've been gaming since the NES days. Take care of your stuff and they wont break........karasill

I do take care of my stuff.. My 360 is isolated on a seperate small table to keep cool. Somehow this thing still managed to overheat.

People who defend this kind of garbage;

Think about it. You probably have a lot of gaming systems from the past that still work. NES, SNES and even Atari 2600's still work. But if most of the consoles break down in the same gen they're released, that means that when MS stops making 360's and when they break you have no way of playing the games unless 720 has full backwards compability or until someone creates an emulator.

Sure, everything breaks down eventually but this quick?! There are consoles that are 30+ years old and still work, but 360 (and to a lesser extent, PS3) break down in a couple of years? Do you think that in 2020 for example there will be any working 360s anymore? But I guess most people don't care since they just want instant gratification...
