there r things out there that can watch u without u even knowing. things that can pinpoint yo exact location, track yo movements, texts, and record audio and video without u even knowing. these things r known as computers, laptops, notebooks, ultrabooks, tablets, smartphones, ipods and smart tv's. anything with a gps locator and camera can be used against u by the fbi, nsa, dea and/or cia if necessary. thanks to anti terrorism policies. so with this knowledge that i'm sure everyone has known for a while, why the hell r u all so worried about kinect? u've been getting watched for years now

True. I'm not worried about Kinect watching me. I dont ever have conversations that apply to terrorism nor will i be masturbating in front of it. I think me and the Kinect will get along just fine.

I'm not worried about Kinect at all, they've said the data goes nowhere.

People catch things like this anyway, like when that guy discovered Facebook was still tracking what websites you visited even after clicking log out. If there was evidence of unethical behaviour I think it'd be caught. Wait, maybe not https traffic - it depends.

I don't know either, however I consider Facebook to be right at the bottom of the pile in terms of trust. I'm a private person by nature, so it's no trouble for me to simply not log on at all.

the conspiracy theory about Jackie Kennedy killing JFK is very interesting, there is definitely something weird going on in that car.  from the video i have seen i can understand why people think she did it.

You are correct, however, we do have the ability to limit the information the computer, phone, tablet, etc collects.  The problem is that we have all been conditioned to accept these types of devices in today's world. You are basically saying "they are already doing it so what does it matter" but a lot of people, especially in the wake of this NSA issue, are paying more attention now.  Microsoft's timing with releasing a device that has the potential to be a spybox in your living room is worrying some people as it should and I can't say I would blame the consumer for not buying this product for that reason.

It's not a conspiracy theory when you can factually point out how a product like this could be used by the NSA. You know as well as I do that somewhere behind closed doors at the NSA they have had discussions about the potential this device has for gathering information. Anyone who purchases something like this without questioning how it could be used is just being naive.

i completely agree with u. if that kind of technology were to get misused by the govt knowing that it will be in millions of households around the world that could create serious problems and probably more hysteria than anything we've seen in a while. with that said, i personally believe that the more advanced r technology becomes, the more we r open to this sort of issue. it's a necessary risk that we have been taking for decades to keep moving forward

Just because something bad has been going on for a while, doesn't make it any less bad.
