Congratulations to Remedy and Control. Its a sleeper hit but seems like Remedy is happy with the sales. I definitely enjoyed the whole conspiracy and paranormal events occurring in the FBC as well as its good level design. The publisher, 505 games is preparing for a next gen upgrade though somehow gotten a mixed responses even though its the same thing as DMC 5 upgrade plans.

Control also has appeared on PSNow way back in March 2020 and now currently is on Gamepass subscription service.

*Oh also streaming on Nintendo for some reason.

Good on them. Was just playing it again today, actually - putting my new RTX 3070 to its paces. Well, while I wait for my SSD on Tuesday so I can throw Cyberpunk at it.

Really enjoy this game. For some reason I can only do it in small doses, though, but I'd agree it's a sleeper hit even for my own expectations

I hated the running around and backtracking part. But other than that, it had some great ideas.

I've put some hours in but I must say I'm a bit disappointed. Everything so far anyway is indoors, going up and down corridors, backtracking and just feels too confined and boring. I'd much prefer the openness of an Alan Wake.

Happy I waited for it to hit GamePass. :P

Can't believe they made a game with a transforming gun and only let you toggle between two weapon types. Consolization at its worst.

2 million doesn't seem very good.

@ezekiel43: there's nothing "consolized" about it, and it's not even a real gun - which is part of the plot. Might as well complain that you can switch weapons or spells in a game

Because it is not a real gun, I should be able to select between nearly all its different modes on the fly. An entire number row was unused. Max Payne and MP2 used the number row. Consolization. Complete waste of a unique weapon, forcing you to pause.

@ezekiel43: you can. But I'll grant you I don't think you can bind it to the numkeys

@ezekiel43: there's a hotkey to swap forms, and as you level up you can "memorize," I guess, more forms, so you don't have to pause and replace a mapping in your inventory or something. But I do think a simple numkey mapping is so obvious and standard for pc gamers that it's an odd omission

Tried it out on gamepass not for me the map navigation is horrendous. Graphically wasn't all that great I just don't think remedy games are my cup of tea.

Congrats. I just recently picked up the Ultimate Edition for the Xbox One myself and am really looking forward to playing it. Also I practically sang Hallelujah when I installed the game and there was no downloading of a patch or dlc required. Everything was already on the disc. Such an incredibly rare thing these days.

Picked up the Ultimate edition and I am having a blast with it so far. It's definitely an Old School gamers game with the level design and how you track quests. Love not having way points, trying to navigate the world just adds to the atmosphere and overall aesthetic to the game.

Solid 8/10, a must play. I would rate it higher but the game has performance issues. (Playing on PS4 Pro)

Bought the game on EGS day one and Control has really met my high expectations. Truly my favorite Remedy game to date and using the Telekinesis powers was the selling point for me. Congrats Control for 2 million sold and Control is sitting in my #2 spot in my top 10 games of 2020.

I just stick with pistol and Pierce throughout the game and using telekinesis powers was all you really need. That said, I didn't bother with KB/M and my trusty Elite Controller was more satisfying on my 3rd-person playing style.

69.3945% of those sales were people buying the game to benchmark their pc.

Been looking at this game on and off, and it looks so bland and sterile. It has a tech demo feel to it, or something. I might get it when it's cheap as hell just to see what the fuzz was about.
