Does anyone agree that on FPS's that a controller feels better than a keybord and mouse, I dont know it just feels smoother

Yes I am sure, and I dont hate PC gaming I just think the keybord and mouse is more suited for MMO's and RTS'S

Playing FPS on a console with a dual analog controller is like playing fighting games on pc with a mouse and a keyboard.

I own both pc and consoles and i enjoy both kB+M and controllers, but for FPS i enjoy Keyboard and mouse more.

If I disagreed any more, I think it would be illegal. If I wanted a controller to play my FPS with, I'd use the one I have hooked up on PC, but it just feels stupid and isn't precise at all in comparison. People like to argue things like skill, but everyone on PC can start off without having to use the lame analog controls and be decent at games anyway, I hate using analogs in an FPS, and I never intend to really bother with it much.

While I prefer controllers for some genres, First Person Shooters have never and will never be one of those genres.

I guess, if you like aim assist.

I'm sticking with KB/M. Seriously, it's wouldn't even fair if you put a KB/M user against a controller user w/ aim assist turned off.

It's entirely a matter of preference. Whether it's comfort or accuracy you want, the whole point of gaming is to have fun, and so the input device you're happiest with is the one that's best FOR YOU.

Racing sim fans wouldn't be cought dead using the arrow keys to race. Wheels like the Logitech G25 are where it's at. As much as I like Gran Turismo, PC racing sims are so far ahead of it or Forza in regard to everything but graphics.

KB/Mouse = Most precise way to play games.

Controller = imprecise.

No, KB/Mouse >>>>>>> all. These threads should stop. Honestly, personal preference is one thing but anyone that denies that KB/Mouse is more much much more precise is in denial. Ever wonder why so many shooters on consoles need some sort of auto aim or aim assist? Yea.

I think the TC got pawned on pc fps so much that he prefers controllers. Another case of "I don't like it because i suck at it more."

I play a lot of FPS's on my PS3 and I think the control pad works just fine HOWEVER there is no way in hell that you can aim as quickly and precisely as you can with a keyboard & mouse. Personally I think the wii-mote & nunchuk is the perfect comprimise as far as controls go. Aiming is quicker and more precise then a control pad on a wii-mote but you don't have the clutter/complication of a keyboard and mouse. Too bad that the wii has a serious lack of quality FPS's.

I thought so until I played HL2 ep1 and 2 on the PC. M&K is way better than the dual analog IMO... Actually I've found both the Wiimote and M&K to be better. The dual analog is inaccurate and awkward for FPS. I think the dual analog is best for platformers (such as Prince of Persia) though.

I've tried FPS on both consoles and PC, and I feel that Mouse + Keyboard feels a lot more accurate.

do a complex fighting move from your keybaord! put the accelarator down halfway with your keyboard. this stuff really has nothing to do with FPS and using a controller or K+M and neither does typing out a sentence in FPS.

I highly disagree with you, controller (console) shooters have auto-aim. If I wanted a game with auto-aim I would go play some of the doom engine games (it's on by default but can be turned off by mods).

Everything controls better with KB&M. IMO. I couldn't imagine playing anything with a gamepad, except maybe platformers but they control just as well with keyboard. IMO.

I totally agree I have tried playing crysis with a controller and I hated it pretty quick especially since you can't go prone with it, but that wasn't the main problem, all the changing of weapons takes ridiculously long and the aiming is so inaccurate. GTA4 is just so much better with k/m rather than the dam autoaiming game pad where you can't even do headshots
