Conviction, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, NNN2. The flops keep on coming.

Conviction was hyped through the roof before the demo and was still hyped AAA afterwards, 8.0 was its final score and it barely even deserved that. Alan Wake, what was it 5 years in development, new graphics king?, while it was a good game it was was too repetitive and was hyped AAA. Crackdown was hyped at least AA but we've all established that it was a lazy game. Lastly, some lems have been saying NNN2 will be better then we think, IGN just gave it 4.0 so there's another dissapointment.

So the real question is, why do these 360 exclusives keep on flopping?. Also by the time N3 gets a review won't that mean 4 in a row, isn't that some kind of record?.

Yep, awesome year! So far i got Bayonetta, Mass Effect 2, Bad Company 2, Alan Wake, Super Street Fighter 4 and Red Dead Redemption....all fantastic games ;)

No you need a 360 or PC to play those games (or a PS3 for them) so how does that effect how much you can enjoy them or how good they are?

Dude, i dont care is PC or PS3 can play some of those games. The fact is that with a 360 i can play all of them

Alan Wake might be one of the best flops I've ever played, although Heavy Rain might beat it out. Not sure yet, haven't had a chance to play it yet.

Not really. Most of the best Wii games are exclusive. PC still exclusively owns the RTS, indie and CRPG genres. The PS3 still gets 3rd party exclusives like Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, Yakuza 4, 3D Dot Heroes and Studio Ghibli game.

Its really the 360 thats had its exclusives go the way of the dinosaur. I think what confuses people is that exclusives last gen like DMC, Final Fantasy, Tekken etc. are now all multiplats but we have a whole new set of exclusives.

Yeah and the PS3 only has one AAA this year so far. I guess it has it's share of flops too. Oh and if someone only plays Console games then I guess they aren't going to get to play ME2, Conviction if they don't own a 360.

Sony needed to focus on first party this gen after the underwhelming launch and lacklustre 3rd party support at the start of the gen (which i assume is down to the unfriendly hardware in the PS3). If the PS4's architecture is easier to work with and the Sony carries all its 3rd party support through to next gen i doubt we'll see such a great first party showing as we have this gen. Like what MS is doing.
