Could E3 potentially push you to buy a Vita?

We all know the things the Vita needs:

- A brighter future library of games

- A price drop on it and memory cards

- Potential HDMI/Component out options

- More support in general from Sony

We all know what is has

- A great first-party library so far (Gravity Rush, Uncharted Golden Abyss, WipeOut 2048, Guacamelee, PSABR, Sly Cooper Thieves in Time, etc.) and a decent, if underwhelming third-party line-up that has quality over quantity, with titles like MGS2 and 3, Virtue's Last Reward, Disgaea 3, Plants vs. Zombies, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2, Jetpack Joyride, Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive 5+, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Persona 4, Rayman Origins, etc.

- Great multimedia functions (internet browser is up-to-par minus lack of copy and paste, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter)

- Dual analogs

- Dat screen

- Dat gimmick back touch screen

So could this E3 be the one that sells you on the Vita, and if it might be, what would be your reason?

Not likely, I've never been much of a handheld owner (always PC gaming).

I like the concept of a Vita and if I were buying a PS4, maybe I'd consider it. But, unless some epic game like Half Life 3 becomes exclusive to the Vita, I don't see me buying one.

Nah.  I'm a tough sell on handhelds and 3DS already has my interest.  I may get a Vita one day but not any time soon.

Kinda did already.  But actually buying something for the Vita is an act I've yet to conduct - KZ: Mercenary + Dragon's Crown are likely to change that.  E3 is more a long-term proposition.

They'll just try and sell it as an alternative PS4 controller, but stand alone E3 time? For sure not likely

I would love to see an infamous game on Vita. Maybe adapt the comics into a side-story. darkspineslayer

A price drop and seeing developers stream their PS4 games to it would make me buy one. I'm not talking 1-2 games either, I want to see the majority of exclusives offer that feature and do it well. Heil68

I bought a Vita for my wife a couple weeks ago... We took it out and played around with it for about 3 hours (about a day and a half actualy :P)... it went back in the box and we returned it. Honestly, I hope that the "all games will be compatible with vita" crap is NOT true. If it is, I just hope that funtionlity will not be lessened so tat it can work within the vita's boundaries.

Yeah, I understand that.

I meant more along the lines of button mapping, inversion, options, the amount of buttons that can be used, six axis, and things like that.

I remember when the Move released and it ruined some games because they were trying to adapt to it. The controls were drastically changed on the controller in order to make it a fair experience if you wanted to use move....

I dont like handhelds but if i buy one it would be a 3DS...:|

Probably not.

I remember buying the PSP on launch day, and it had "everything" over the DS. It even had a better library of games for a short while. A VERY short while...

I don't think I'm going to set myself up to get burned like that again. I don't really have much need for two handhelds, and the 3DS looks much more interesting now, and in the forseeable future. If I get a handheld it'll be the 3DS.

Doubtful. Not really sure what would have to come up to have me consider a purchase. Flood of 3DS games coming and later in the year I'll have to decide between a WiiU or PS4, not really room in there for a Vita.

Fact- I own both handhelds, and fact : both rock!!! You can own two (or more) game systems, why the hell are some of you so mutually exclusive?

No, I actually just sold my Vita about a month ago. I had the AC bundle from Amazon. I sold it back to Amazon for more than I paid for it because there just weren't enough games to keep me interested(and nothing on the horizon at the time). I played through uncharted, AC, playstation all stars, gravity rush, and a few others but got bored with it quick. I also have a 3ds and galaxy s3 that I use for mobile games and those were interesting me a lot more. (especially the 3ds.)

I used the cash I got from the Vita and used it to buy a 7870 graphics card. It came with Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, and Far Cry 3 blood dragon. I got more fun out of Bioshock and Tomb Raider than I did the Vita. Plus now I'm ready for the steam summer sale.

hmmm... I got a 7870 last month too, but already had bioshock and tomb raider on ps3, but blood dragon was nice... Oh and I got to keep my vita! I never understand why people sell game machines.. There will always be droughts and stuff that will come out later and you will regret your decision.

Why do you say lack of games. I am busy playing Guacamelee, dragon fantasy book 1, and Soul Sacrifice... Oh and terrira , limbo, and muramasa is coming this month and later in the summer we get killzone, tearaway, Y's Celestia, Valhalla knights 3, Hotline Miami, and Dragons crown.

Why do the people who say there is not enough games never mention the downloadable games? there are a lot of those. Those are meant to keep you busy until the next big release comes out (those and the killer ps1 and psp catelog which btw...rocks playing on the vita. Dual sticks on those games is great and you can reassign every control for every game. ITs great!)

People around here hate download titles and i just don't get why...

Soul Sacrifice and Gravity Rush both make the handheld tempting. If Sony could announce some other interesting games and reduce the price of the memory cards I would definitely get a Vita at some point.

It doesn't need a price drop wtf is wrong with people? Do you really think the 3DS is worth as much as the Vita? The only thing it needs is a memory stick price drop and a BIG title (like Kingdom Hearts or something).
