It's not just Madden, it's NFS, Burnout, Battlefield, MOH etc... along with BioWare, Pandemic, DICE etc... There would be getting so much it's insane. With that said, it probably never happen because the lost in revenue would just be insane.[QUOTE="htekemerald"][QUOTE="goddamn_"][QUOTE="htekemerald"]if they did it would be one very large, barbed, red hot nail in the PS3s coffin.pins_basic

[QUOTE="JayPee89"]MS could buy EA, Sony, Actiblizzion, and Nintendo on the same day if they wanted to.Makaritruth. they just don't bother to. :O or aren't allowed to.The Japanese corporate system makes it very difficult for foreign corporations to buy out their companies. That's why FORD legally only bought 33.7% of MAZDA. Microsoft has the money to buy Nintendo but it would cost a little more than most people think. Unlike our American government, Japan actually looks out for their domestic companies.

okay, when i say yes, i'm just referring to their games divisions. Vivendi Universal is some gigantic overlord company that owns vivendi->Actard, and they're worth well north of $50b, while vu games was.. much, much smaller.[QUOTE="stereointegrity"][QUOTE="JayPee89"]MS could buy EA, Sony, Actiblizzion, and Nintendo on the same day if they wanted to.JayPee89they dont have money like that u fool
No they don't. Sony alone has yearly revenues of $70 billion. MS would have to go all out just to purchase Sony, let alone all the others that were mentioned.
MS is rich, but not that rich. They could probably buy EA, but everyone seems to forget that Sony is alot more than just video games. Sony has a booming electronics market. Although i dont have any data on the respective companies net worth, Im pretty sure, that if u take into consideration Sony game division, Sony TVs, cam corders, cameras, DVD/Blu-Ray Players, Sony Music, Sony Movies....i dont think MS can realistically afford it.II_Seraphim_IIMS could afford Sony if they wanted to purchase them.
EA has to sell in order for MS to buy. Not only that, but a buyout could result in a huge shift of personnel. Remember when SE said they can be bought for a couple of billion, but key members could easily walk out before buy (tetsuya nomura, yatsuma matsumo, samu Kamikokuryo, etc)
Besides, the only worthwhile, franchises EA has is their sports games and the newly acquired Bioware.

And Sony, after expenses, actually keeps about $1 billion USD. I just spent a few minutes looking over their income statements at yahoo. Microsoft, after expenses, takes home about $15 billion yearly. =P Daaamn.Besides, the only worthwhile, franchises EA has is their sports games and the newly acquired Bioware.Blue-SkyWe should be thanking whatever gods we worship that you don't run things at any big company. Just to toss one thing out there out of a dozen or so off the top of my head, you neatly skipped over The Sims. :)

They have computer software and hardware. Some electronics. Not to mention that every computer company has to pay MS a hefty price to put Windows on their PCs, laptops, and mobile units, etc. Even the Coinstar machines in stores are runing off of Windows XP. They've even got a deal with Ford with that FORD SYNC feature that MS developed, topping the funtionality of top-of-the line BMW's according to most car reviewers. Not to mention that MS owns over 90 sub-companies worth double/triple digit millions each. M$ has so much money they could become a real UMBRELLA Corp. :)
I hope they can. Then all their trash would go in one place.MrDziekuje
Not all EA games are trash, some are superb as a matter of fact.
