Could some please tell me what happen with LBP?

Someone please tell me what happen. It's a great game. I thought it was going to be a system seller. That its sales were behind due to a messed up launch day. Please someone tell me.

Also, Could you show me a link to the official sales numbers. Last time I check it been out since the end of October NA and the beginning of November world wide. It's the end of the 2nd week of December now.

I keep hearing that it sold 1 million with no source backing that statement. Last time I checked Sony would have stated its sales number like it did with Moterstom 2. They're not going to state one game sales and not state the sales of it most popular game this season if its good.

Although it's unfortunate, sometimes great games do not sell great. It just happens for whatever reason. :?

Although I'm not sure if LBP falls into the category since it seems to be close to 1 mil.

It doesn't appeal to 'Average Joe' who watches Monday night football, and sees a Gears of War 2 or Call of Duty commercial and says "Oh ****, gotta get that!"

That said though, I'm still enjoying myself with it, just got done playing with a buddy actually. :)

an AAA score does not mean that everyone will like it. besides alot of the time reviews are based off of the concept and originallity of the game and hta is the ability to "create" content and not many people like doing that or have the patience to do that.

and as i said this game is basically excitebike for the nes, with up to date graphics and more options.

and this is a side scroller, not many people like these any more the last good/decent one was virtual joe on the cube,

If LBP was on the 360 or the Wii I am sure it would have sold much better.

The idea of the game is a niche idea.

I don't see why anyone thought it would sell millions of copies to begin with. Regardless, it's an incredible game.

To many garbage levels made by people.... Killed it for me.

The fact that PS3 is a BR player and it's audience only cares for MGS.

It had potently but it failed, because Mm and the community failed.

So sad and I wasted another $60 yet again!

I take it back. 960,000 in sales for LBP is very good for the type of videogame it is. Hasn't even been out a month either.

You must have never played LBP. So get over it... 90% of the levels online suck and the censoring Mm is doing isn't helping.

I disagree, but yes there are few shoddy levels and a few music levels, but literally a few.

Why dont you check the comments and scoring of the level b4 entering?

Ive found lots of amazing levels and they are pretty long,beautiful, ingenious...

The fact that you can play with 3 other people and fool around makes it even greater.

Amazing how you consider your whiny complaining in your initial post as "truth" yet all it sounded like to me was "I suck at the game, don't know how to make a good level, and have terrible tastes so i hate all of the levels available". I'm sorry you feel that way but, hey, at least you can complain on these forums. Proceed wth the complaining.

Ill give you a tour to some amazing LBP levels l8er today.

I bought LBP to play levels, not make levels.

It wouldn't be fun to play a level I built. Just like actors don't watch the movies they make.

LBP is a great game and i really enjoy it... its not selling bad either, obviously seems like people were expecting it to sell 3 million copies in 1 month... its still selling at a good pace considering its a new IP and is quite different from the usual type of games people enjoy...

Personally i think it might sell close to 2 million copies overall which is still good..
