Could TOO MANY FPSs be a good thing this year and next?? Complete with gameplay

Halo Reach

BattleField Bad Company 2: Vietnam Expansion

Brink

Blacklight: Tango Down (PSN/XBL game)

Fallout New Vegas (Its in First Person , So hey... lol)

Aliens Colonial Marines *waiting for e3 footage*

All of these games have the potential to be AA-AAA games, and they all look like they bring something different to the table.

I am one to get games that I like on release, but after having a lot FPSs at one point, I felt it was pointless to have more than 2, so I am worried if i get most of these I might abandon one for the other, thus making it a waste of money.

What are you guys looking forward too, and what are your opinions on all these FPSs.

Reach is the only shooter worth my time. (and money)

You forgot Reach and this is definitely a good thing. FPS is my favorite genre.

We already have way too many FPSs.

I don't tend to mind being overloaded. FPS may be of the same genre, but it's not the gameplay that interests me most. It's the stories.

If you include TPS that list would probably double.

Out of those I'll only get Hedal of Honor, Crysis 2, and Killzone 3. That should be enough FPS to last me a long time

X Com looks the most interesting out of all those listed in the OP.

lol I know it hard to keep track of all these FPS games. Brink does look pretty cool though.

We've been going on FPS burnout for a good three years now - no sense for companies to stop any time soon. (do people really still play so many of them that it's financially viable to make this many?)DJ_Lae

I've assumed the whole genre would crash back down to a more sensible size for a couple years now. But from the look of the current and upcoming releases (not to mention the sales charts) it would appear that those tired of FPSes are in the minority.

I've bought more shooters this gen than ever before, and while I've found most to be enjoyable enough - and a couple to be really good - my collection won't likely get another FPS until new hardware hits the market.

When the thing is good there cannot bee "too much" of it.

Out of the list, I am most hyped for Killzone 3 by far, also waiting to see if Valve has something up it's sleeve.

Fallout New Vegas and Halo are sadly the only ones on that list for me.

I don't mind, most look good enough, you missed goldeneye for wii btw. I'll be getting KZ3,Medal of honour, bulletstorm, crysis 2 and Reach out of those more than likely.

I want to know more about the Vietnam expansion for Battlefield...

I'll probably buy Reach, Brink, Crysis 2 and Killzone 3. FP's really annoy me now. Time to play Tales of Vesperia

Definitley Reach, & probably Crysis 2. I'll wait & see for Bulletstorm.

The only game I think is going to be worth buying out of that list is Halo Reach even though the single player looks dull. ubpoker123

i really enjoy FPS games, so its a good thing for me :)

(there are also a few great TPS coming out too which am also looking forward to)

Reach fo sho and I'm interested in Crysis 2 -Those two should be plenty for me.
