I actually have a lot of practice playing CSS with a PS3 controller and motioninjoy on PC, and my k/d is pretty nice. I usually average 1.5 with it, and do about as well with keyboard and mouse. I guess I'm just naturally amazing at gaming, though I've never taken the time to troll an enemy team by telling them I used a PS3 controller.
I am kind of unsure whether I want it on PC or PS3 though. I mean, its not going to be a huge graphically intensive game or anything (its freaking Source engine, almost last gen), and I really want to try it on PS3 to mess around with how kb/m works and maybe see if my old CSS skills transfer over for some fun trolls (hey CSS PC guy, umad?), plus it will have trophies (I have a higher trophy count then a Steam achievement count) and it will likely go down like 90% during a Valve sale in 3 months or whatever (they practically give their games away half the time on Steam).
On the other hand, I feel like the series kind of belongs on PC. Even if super max settings isn't a big difference (to me at least), it is slight, and if its as well optimized and open in frame rate as CSS was then I could get hundreds of frames per second with my set up (maybe). Plus I use a kb/m the other half of the time I play, and even though I could do that on PS3, I'm kind of lazy and moving my kb/m from PC to PS3 seems like a hassle compared to a controller to PC. Plus if I ask I know every single CS player in the world will say to get it on PC since its PC exclusive and they wouldn't be fans if they didn't play hardcore on PC.
Dilemma, but most likely I'll check out the PS3 version and pick it up on Steam on the cheap, and that's in the case it doesn't come with a free Steam code like Portal 2 did (and that would be pretty sweet).
