WoW takes almost no skill, there is no penalty in dying so there is virtually nothing stopping you from getting to level 70 except your own laziness.
And all people do in PvP is run around in circles.

You obviously lack the skill to kill those guys that circle around you.
depends on what you think of as skill. CSS is more about twitch and knowing the map.
wow is more about knowing your class and the ones you're going against as well as loot and levels.
CSS is a truer test of skills against others since you all start out the same.
If patience is a skill, WoW.
Either way, I don't think either of them are difficult games. I was new to PC FPS about 1 year ago when I bought BF2. Within 2 weeks I was winning gold medals every round, often doubling my nearest competitor.
FPS is not hard. It just takes time to get used to the system and find a flow. Once you find a successful formula, you can stick with it and make minor adjustments, and within a couple of weeks of real playing, you can be an elite player.
There's actually a lot of misinformation in this thread. This for example

You actually do lose gold and item durability when you die. At higher levels it really adds up.
Now, I'm assuming your talking about the PvP elements of WoW against CS TC. If not, apples and oranges.
But yeah, WoW is up there I think, at high levels there is a lot of room for skilled players to really set themselves apart from others. Those saying it takes time and not skill probably haven't played it, or got to level 60 (or 70) then quit.
However, I still think CS takes more skill, since it's not only about strategy, but reaction time.
Which game requires more skill?? Imo, css does because you can kill an awper with a knife if you have the skills to do so. But in WoW the guy with the highest level always wins.Teymen_Polat
What if everyone is level 70...
Oh, and ironically enough, I did play WoW for a bit and i had a 45 dwarf hunter and i killed a ?? Rogue (which means he's at least 10 levels above me) in Burning Steppes. He had the jump on me btw. ;) In that time frame i ended up with 2 70's. One 70 Warlock with full Set 2 gladiator and a 70 rogue with full set 1 gladiator. So...yea. It requires skill to play. Not sure which one requires more though. Pretty much a matter of perception.
counter strike source rules evrey one ask to be a member if u have counter strike source join our clan rise of the ravens look it up on google it is a WCS serva

Yeh, I agree with this guy. CS is pretty much twitch gaming and map learning, but mostly twitch. This means that when you first play CS, you will improve, but only up to a point, then it becomes really hard to get any better because you are limited by your own reaction speeds, so, if like me you have a really slow reaction speed, you can improve to be better, but you'll never really be able to compete with good people unless you train mega hard.
Wow is more about conscious learning than trying to improve one of your natural attributes as a human (reaction speed). You just basically learn lots and lots of information like what to do in any given scenario, or how to act in any given set of circumstances.
CS takes twitch skill, and WoW does too.
WoW takes alot of skill depending on what it is your doing. Any braindead zombie can level 1-70, but it takes actual skill to have 2000+ rated arena team.
There's a huge leage around WoW arena, and trust me it isnt about gear because everyone has the same aena gear which is easy to get. It isnt about time because if you are good enough you can be on top of your bracket in under 50 matches. It's about skill, pure and simple. check out any good arena team's pvp video
[QUOTE="Bazfrag"][QUOTE="Harden_hawk"]WOW takes time, not skill.kaos-heroAgreed. It takes A LOT of time lol. CS on the other hand takes A LOT of skill (lucky i have a lot of time and skill)
source takes lots of skill though. CS 1.6 on the other hand requires more skill.

Very true, but i have grown to like source so much, and i like the better visuals, physics, etc.WoW takes time and attention. Simple trial and error. PvE does take a more than your average player once you step into heroics/hard modes. Anyone who thinks PvP requires skill is some kind of elitist that plays all day, aka the WoW stereotype. Spreadsheets = win in PvE and PvP. FOTM class = win in PvP because no one wants to group with anything thats not in the top brackets.
CSS takes twitch, skill, and a ton of practice. Much, much practice and a dedicated team. I'd easily put CSS far above WoW.
If you haven't played arena during TBC, then you know nothing of what kind of skill wow takes. Right now the floor is pretty low to do well, but still, not many people are able to master their class(es) in pvp compared to how many play.
EDIT: Lolz necro, didn't even notice.
my cousin keeps telling me that wow requires the most skill in any game.. wtf?! lol hes such a noobTeymen_Polatonce you get into raiding yes, i could see why some people would say this,
Going to say CS which requires a lot of skill, tactics and team work not just fast reactions if you want play in competitive teams.
It's a bit like Starcraft you need to have map control.
