Counter-strike is sooooooooo boring

You can join open leagues for competitve CS (which is why the game got so huge).

this is very true

most competitive game series on the planet > whatever you like. Thing about CS is I don't have to expect another one in the series every 2 or 3 years and it doesnt fade.

IT WAS A MOD!

I used to play a good amount of CS 1.6 back in the day. Since that community is mostly league-based I went and got CS Source.

I played for a week and just got bored of it. But then again CoD4, BF2 and several others have followed the same fate.

I used to play CS all the time, but now whenever I try to go back to it I just can't do it. The high learning curve makes it pretty addictive for a beginner, but once you get used to the aiming and become a pretty good player, it gets really old really fast. There's one pointless game mode and a couple of OK mods. That's it. There's no stat-tracking or leaderboards or anything, so the incentive to play just isn't there.Gamer556

You can make clans and leagues in any game. CS probably has the most solid gameplay in any FPS, but there's no denying that it's bare bones. It doesn't have any features to speak of, has one official game mode, and has a **** interface. Yes, I know it was originally a mod, and I know that it's ancient, but that doesn't change the fact.

I'm actually going to play it again right now, just to get a taste of it, but I don't see it holding my attention for long.

It's fun at first, but than it gets boring and repeative, I personally quit playing, I play Team Fortress 2 and BF2 instead.kingfire11

thats the exact reason why you play Zombie, Zombie alone makes this game have unlimited replay value..

CS is boring to people who are:

1.)impatitant for the next round to start..or has never played a round based game..

2.)completly suck at this game and whine and moan about people who keep killing them with a AWP.

3.) people who always think there rambo and think that CSS is some kind of run'n'gun game.

and 4.) dont understand what mods are.

CSS is much better than a majority of other online shooters..it takes skill.it uses teamwork to win but not on the same level as TF2, you have to understand how the weapons work and the maps you play in. and understand what weapons you work best with and which weapons work best in what situation..almost none of that CoD4 has..not matter what gun you have in CoD4 your almost gaurenteed a kill..its the complete oppsite in the CS series..which is the main reason why CS is one of the most competitive online games ever created and games like CoD4 will never be taken serious.

Oh, and how could I forget about the joys of downloading a bunch of insignificant crap for every server?Gamer556

CS used to be good when it was at beta 7... Everything after was the slow death of that game to me.

Once Steam was implemented into that game I quit. Steam is a piece of crap program IMO. Can't play the game without it now.

I dont understand why people dont like steam..you start it up, go to my games, launch and play the game...Steam used to have problems but now almost all of them are fixed..Steam is a great program, if you want to play SP game just go offline.the only problem i have is when you want to start a SP game offline and it was patching and wont let you play other than that there is no real valid reason to hate Steam...

and Steam should not keep you from playing a game, if you have a reason to hate it i would love to hear it.

I've never played CS and I'm to frightened to start because I'm guessing everyone who still plays it is pro and I don't wanna get BOOM HEADSHOT'ed before I even spawn (they have ways...).
