Hmm, this is weird, i could've sworn that Jack Treton said they were considering a price drop.And this guy is saying there is no price drop in the pipeline.Its very interesting to see him denying this while many retailers are announcing 100$ price drops on Ps3.Confusing!
Sony should really get their facts straight.
Sony don't neet to drop the RRP for retailers to drop their price .... if there is excess stock and consumers aren't willing to buy it at that price, the product price will fall at the cost of the retailer no the manufacturer ...Hmm, this is weird, i could've sworn that Jack Treton said they were considering a price drop.And this guy is saying there is no price drop in the pipeline.Its very interesting to see him denying this while many retailers are announcing 100$ price drops on Ps3.Confusing!

its just weird that it was all but confirmed and now they are like - hold up...

I haven't seen that in the US in roughly forever. These are playstation3's, not old bread...
PS3's don't go out of date or anything, what retailers would do is sit on what they have and not order any more til they sell thru current stock.
