Saying cows have no games to play is a big lie now. Cows have loads of games for their PS3.

First, we have to state that since they are cows they are all about Sony and only about the Sony, because that is a cow right? A SONY fan.

So lets just see what cows have played, or are playing...

Oblivion, Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, The Darkness, Call of Duty 3, Fight Night Round 3, Rainbow Six: Vegas, GRAW 2, and Guitar Hero III.

That's 11 games that are all 8 or higher.

Now, before you guys use the " most of those games are multi-platsand are better on the 360!!"

Let me say this now, so that iwhen someone says it, we all know they don't read. You are absolutely correct, and people with a PS3/360 would be stupid to buy multiplats on the PS3 AT THIS MOMENT, being that devs have yet to work hard enough to tap into the PS3's power. I agree that all those games are better on the 360, as of now, but remember, the intial argument is about cows not having games to play, not people who own PS3's.

People who own a PS3/360 are out of luck with their PS3 unless they really like the PS3's exclsusives, but for now, straight up cows are probably loving their PS3.

Also, Oblivion is better on the PS3 because it has better graphics, shorter load times, and more content straight out of the box (we're not including DLC here)

Its just a fad.. like "crabs"

What they should say is "PS3 has no game that INTEREST ME" or "PS3 was too expensive for me at the time so I tried to undermine it"

The Xbox 360 has 66 games that are 80% or higher according to GameRankings. The PS3 has 23. Out of those 23, only 7 are exclusive to the PS3. One of those games is a remake of an earlier Xbox game. Furthermore, the PS3 only has one game ranked over 90%, and that's a multiplatform game also available for the 360.

The PS3 is being owned in this respect, plain and simple. You can justify it all you want, but you can't deny it.

It's no use. Lemmings are too short-sighted. That's why they're called Lemmings. At the end of 2008, they'll still be saying "PS3 has no games!" Oh, well. At least they're entertaining.

360 has been out nearly two years now, so if you want to compare that, just to be fair we should double the PS3 games (just because in statistical purposes we can predict the next year, and remember this is in theory) and that makes it 46 to 66, and a lot of consoles tend to have a slow first year, so in theory again we can add at least 10 more games to that list to make it 56 and I'm just using past theories here, but it is unfair to directly compare 360 to PS3 games because 360 has a full year on the PS3.

Sure, you have your "11 games rated 8 or above." Last time I counted, the 360 had over 60 AA and 9 AAA games (not counting one AAA Live Arcade game).

I bolded all the ones i'm playing on the 360 or I can essentially play on the Xbox. That leaves Resistance, Warhawk, and HS. Heavenly Sword i played and it's terrible. 6 hour game and it's very shallow gameplay. Resistance is a great game and i will pick it up when i get my PS3 sometime next year. Warhawk is very decent online...but it's not something i'd buy the Console for.

And, no. The argument that most say is that there is nothing to justify the purchase of a PS3 if you own a 360 and...safe to say, alot of people are either thinking about buying a 360 for Halo 3 or already own one.

Doubling games and making other calculation adjustments is irrelevant, since in console wars, we only count the NOW. When the next XBOX comes out, you can be sure that Sony will not screw up again and release their next playstation a full year after the XBOX. Sony started this gen late, and therefore has to pay the consequences. As it stands right now, the 360 has a ridiculous edge in the number of high quality games, plain and simple.

Not true; the full year is a big advantage for Microsoft financially, as made apparent by how much they're crushing the PS3 in sales right now. Also, by the time the PS3 finally manages to catch up with its own game library (if it ever does), Microsoft will be coming out with their next console.

I won't deny that Microsoft has a year's advantage and that's one of the reasons they're doing so well. But to act like that makes things even is just silly. It's just another plus in Microsoft's list of advantages over the PS3.

EDIT: Besides, can you teleport yourself a year ahead to play all those games? No? Than why are you citing it as an advantage for the PS3's library right now?

I agree, Microsoft had brilliant marketing by releasing a year early...albeit with faulty hardware, damn my RROD 360 , but you cannot keep comparing the 360's huge list of software to the PS3's which has had half the time, it's just not a fair argument because blind fanboys keep using it, no matter how much logic anyone else uses. I like to use fair logic by comparing timeline to timeline (when it comes to games)

Well then it's a biased opinion to begin with and they'd buy anything with the name "Sony" on it. My logic is flawed by that standard then. :(

Granted, some games justify purchases more to some than others. So don't anybody take my comments as personal.

For what arbitrary purpose? There's no "Best Console Award" here. It's just a matter of which one has more to offer if you're a gamer, and which one is more financially successful for its company. In both cases, the 360 is clearly winning.

Well, to be fair, not all will bust. Defective rate is at about 25% according to retailers. MS is obviously working on the problem but they can't just snap their fingers and it's fixed. Just like the Disc Read Errors with the PS2, it'll take a little time (hence the 3 year warranty). I hope you sent your 360 in to get that free replacement btw...you would have it back within 3 weeks.

Of course most people won't play all of those games. The point is that you have more selection and you're more likely to find a game that you personally are interested in playing. I'm not real big on sports games, so I'm glad the Xbox 360 offers 45+ other games that are rated 80% or better. The PS3 has... 10.

Aghhhhh, okay, a couple months ago, it was all about the exclusives.

PS3 owners were all over this board talking bout how multiplats don't matter and it was all about the superb EXCLUSIVE lineup that Sony offered.

Now that the majority of Sony exclusives have come out and flopped, it's back to multiplats somehow. Which would be a good argument, but it gives nothing over 360. At least 360 shares a bunch of multiplats with PC. Which multiplats does PS3 have that 360 does not??? With 360 you have games like Bioshock and Overlord and others I can't think of now, that are only PC/360. How many only PC/PS3 games are there??

So 360 gets pretty much all the multiplats the PS3 does, plus PC/360 multiplats. Plus the PS3 gets these same mutiplats 3, 6 sometimes 9 months late???? How long did it take for Rainbow???? 360 owners were playing it in Nov of last year.

So, yes, there are games to play. But IMO it is stupid to even compare the 2. The exclusives are not grounbreaking (with the exception of a couple games) and the multiplats are way to late and often of a slightly lessor quality.

Yes, indeed. That argument is old and overused. Anyone with half a brain knows PlayStation 3 has games to play.

When it comes to games the Playstation has had games that have never been on any other system includeing the PC where the 360 games are always released on the PC at some time.

The Socom games have never been on any other console except the Playstation. Now there working on two more versions of this game that will be released at a later date (one will be on-line only and one will be both on-line and single player).

OremLK

This is true, but AAs and AAAs aren't the only games there are. Some of the A games are immensely fun, such as Eye of Judgement. However, the lack of AAEs and AAAEs cannot be denied. It's a silly argument, but it does have its basis in fact.

I'm sorry I think I may have missed something... Why can we add 10 games "in theory"?

Is there a AAAE for the PS3 yet on gamespot? No? Then the PS3 has "no games" (notice how I put it in quotes which means I do not believe it but its the rules of system wars)

Predict? Theory? Wtf? 360 still has more AAE and AAAE at launch then what the PS3 has currently right now.

It wouldn't matter if you doubled the PS3 games.

0 AAAE x 2 = 0

Now the Ps3 does have decent games but your post above is just ridiculous.

so far the 360 is selling almost twice as many games per console as the ps3 is...

it may "have games" but apparently the 360 has better ones...

maybe "no games" isn't valid...just "no good games"... :D

360 has been out much longer than the ps3, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? Plus i have a ps3/360 and I play my ps3 way more. it has more good games in my opinion. Stop this stupid fanboy talk the ps3 is good and so is the 360. Anyone who can lie so much as to say the ps3 has no games or is bad is a real fanboy.

If peop,e are buying more games for the 360 doesent that imply that the games for the 360 are shorter or not as good so 360 owners keep buying new games as they are bored. Thats another way of looking at it. Think about it.

It all boils down to preferences...if people prefer to 360 games then they will simply say that the 360 is better but if someone prefer to play PS3 games then they will say the PS3 is the best. This kind of argument will never end. Im telling you even if the ps3 have a baziliion of AAA games if somebody thinks those bazilion games is not his type then for him those bazilion games are worthless.

And guys Multiplats are still games so don't count them off coz for a person who only owns one console multiplats=exclusives

Bluestorm-Kalas

How about you sit back and relax and enjoy your system and stop worrying what other people say? why get so worked up about this? its only monday man, take it easy.

All I'm thinking about is going home to play some puzzle quest, orange box, AC6 and a little halo 3, you should do the same and play all those 8 and above games you were talking about and let other people cry and b***h about silly things.

in my opinion ps 3 first year > 360 first year. only gears of war was worthy in its first year.

It's about the number of quality games. if it were about getting to the market earlier, the Dreamcast would not have died.

Its just a fad.. like "crabs"

What they should say is "PS3 has no game that INTEREST ME" or "PS3 was too expensive for me at the time so I tried to undermine it"

Liquid-GEAR

Ah yes, the good ol' "crabs" fad. Those were fun times.
