Because the most recent videos sucked. It was hyped AAA only after hearing the "dream team" of developers working on it, and that was last year, but when the result THIS year turned out to look....not so good, the hype dropped.

Actually, if whatever game you are speaking of gets AAA it will be a SUPERB (AAA) game not GOOD (A) game.

They are just playin it safe. You never know what will go down.

This thread makes absolutely no sense. The game hasn't been reviewed here yet. HypeinSW is based on what we think GS will give it. That is irrelevant when it comes to actual love and excitement for Ratchet.

It's BS on both sides, no doubt. I was annoyed at the time that the hype for LO was only A. But at least lemmings still hype some games AAA, and they actually barely talk about LO, so the hype sorta fits. Cows have been scared into hyping anything that doesn't start with Metal Gear as AAA, and that's just weak. But that would be tolerable if cows didn't go around putting their games on these AAA/GOTY pedestals now that they're getting good reviews, after having hyped them AA. You hype a game AA and any AAA smacktalk privileges are gone.

You know wanna know why? We know the game is AAA but we know gamespot has a good chance of giving it AA. So if we hype the game AAA gamespot gives it AA than we get massively owned for floppage... Or we can hype the game AA and not deal with it... I for one though hyped it AAA.

I hyped Brawl AAA because of the amount of attention it has received, it deserves AAA hype. If it's the superior sequel in every way to an 8.9, then yes - it deserves AAA hype.

And to be honest I don't know much about R&C, just think that "official" Brawl thread is hilarious given it's hyped more than any other game (other than Galaxy) on the system, and is the most hyped game for '08.... and I think it's ironic for a sheep to criticize one gorup of fanboys for the same thing the Sheep are doing to a far bigger game. Hahahaha.
