i see what your saying, its true -- many complain about Nintendo for making 'rehashs', yet all the companys use the same franchises over and over..

Microsoft is not going to give up on halo, just for the sake of fanboys saying their 'rehashs' because they sell. Nintendo is not going to let mario die for the same reason.

I agree with that. I think Ratchet will head to PSP in 2008 again though, and I think Resistance will get a spinoff for PSP too.

Ratchet and clank started in around 2003. Mario started with the freaking NES.

There 7 ratchet games in total that have been announced or are out. There are literally like a 100 mario games.

I don't care if it isn't the same type of game. Mario has been reused many, many times. Just like many would consider Jak X: combat racing a jak game...

This game looks awesome how the **** could you dis Sony for R&C when its made by a third party developer Insominiac and this game is going to have better graphics than any wii game comeing out until Wii 2 comes out it'll only go to xbox's grphics not further maybe less too your thread fails and is a pointless one also it does sound like you have not played the series or you just hate anyway this game is going to have new weapons better gameplay since it has some sixaxis also much better graphics.

Yeah, the same way lemmings hype Splinter Cell. By the way, R&C has solid AA scores at Gamespot. And 2 AAA games at GR. (1 here). Splinter Cell is pretty much the same story.

And then you bring up Mario? Really. He's in everything Nintendo does these days. Mario Party 8? Super Paper Mario? You know Nintendo you should make the same variety of games that you make. With new characters.

How does a demo count as a full game? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. It's a smaller part of a larger game. It has absolutely no unique content. It's distributed for free. It doesn't count.

Just because Nintendo doesn't make demos doesn't mean that Insomniac should be penalized.

Ratchet and Clank has had 5 games only (4 PS2, 1 PSP), 6th on the way.

Mario has had tons of spinoffs with mario golf, mario tennis, mario kart, and more.

In R&C they always have new gameplay machanics and new weapons and more.

I agree in a way. if you compare the main mario platformer games and the ratchet and clank game than ratchet and clank has more rehashes. Mario only has one platformer every gen where as last gen ratchet and clank had 4. However when it comes to spinoff of titles mario has a lot more.

At the end of the day who cares. There both good franchises and they're both fun.
