Cows: Why did you buy /plan to buy Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 instead of PC?

You know, since you guys have the super high-end gaming rigs? You always see cows saying "I don't need a 360 because I could play Halo 2, Gears, Mass Effect, Bioshock on my PC lol".

Whoa..then why didn't you play UT 3 on PC? You know, since you already have Gears, and Mass Effect, and Bioshock, and all those other 360/PC games. Hmm..

Cause owning a decent, $700 gaming PC + a $400 console and buying a game per/month for each is cheaper and more rational than owing a 360. 2 againts 1, you lose go home chicken and speaker boxes!

PS3 and PC has a reliable system.

360 has a reliable customer service. (...at least most of 'em)

A better one would be, why aren't they playing it? A good, well populated server is next to impossble to find these days on the PS3.

They're not too much better I'm afraid. Many PC players were turned off by some of the new features and have returned to older versions of UT. As far as the 360 version, its online community is certainly no Halo 3 or Gears of War. It's not necessarily hard to find a game per se but it's not exactly easy either.

And by the way, NOBODY bought U3. Its a mediocre game, on PS3, on PC and on 360.

I bought it because I wanted in a quasi-mobile solution for when I travel to my 3 homes in the US. It's much eaiser to put a PS3 in a backpack and go than a desktop computer, wouldn't you agree?

It was a matter of convenience.

The real question is why would anyone want to buy that crap in the first place. What a terrible game it was. *shakes head in disgust*. I really really really did not like that game at all. It was so bad, it was not worth the rent through gamefly.

So i'm guessing you don't own 3 house... or else I don't see $1,500.00 an issue.

Also, when we are talking about acceptable resolution... hopefull were talking about 720p, meaning you have a HD TV for each of your 3 homes... again nothing cheap there.

Maybe So I can play it on high settings with no fps drops and not on medium with unstable frame rate ?If UT3 was a SP game i would get it for PC seeing as the frame rate would be much more stable.

And my comp is only like a 300$ pc.

Ask the devs this one "buddy". There the ones who gave everyone this option.
