The game is most of the part only huge in america, and the xbox 360 is ahead of the ps3 by 6 million there. You're not really following me, Im not making a fanboyish statement at all, I own both systems. Im just stating the truth, most people who play games play extremely casually, especially in the case of GTA. In addition to this most of those people have yet to buy a current gen system and associate GTA to playstation.

If you think this its only common sense to assume that the PS3 version will sell MANY copies and systems when this game lauches. Oh and your Snes to PSone theory doesnt work here, not only did FF jump entirely from one singular console brand to another singular console brand (Which isnt whats happening in this case, only branching out) but the FF in that time period didnt have the same massive casual player target demographic that is so super important today.

EDIT: In response to the reply arguing DMC and GTA being on XBOX, honestly the GTA sales between PS2 and Xbox were so one sided in PS2s favor that the vast majority of people would still associate GTA exclusively with sony.

Dude the idea of system seller is this concept that you are getting a system because you know that you cannot play the game anywhere else. GTA4 might make someone buy A system but not specific ones(well maybe 360's since LIVE is better and exclusive DLC is also nice).

It is actually 65,000 but it is hardly much.. The sales of dmc4 on xbox 360 is far less then ps3 version.. The ps3 version though did outsell xbox 360 in japan by 200k.
