Crackdown 2 is straight up awful

Did anyone play that demo? The game fell off hard from Crackdown 1...It just felt even more rudimentary and boring. You do the same thing over and over. Call in a helicopter, mow down generic enemies with generic weapons...

I mean I love my 360 and I get called a fanboy all the time but damn why can't Microsoft invest in games that are interesting? All I could say to myself while I was playing Crackdown 2 was, 'I wish I was playing inFamous'...

C'mon. With all that money and you can't get good developers? I mean y'all took RARE already but you got them making Kinect games which are gonna be mediocre at best.

It's such a shame. Thank God I ain't a hardcore gamer anymore. I'll just go back to playing NBA 2k9 and wait for NBA 2k11 cause waiting for the next exclusive not related to Gears or Halo...It's a forgone conclusion that I'd be wasting my time.

I am glad the best games often aren't exclusive (In my opinion).

I thought the first one was crap so I'll not even bother with the sequel.

Haven't played the demo myself nor have I played the first title. So I really can't comment on the game lol.

I still have to download it. It is really that bad? Most demos don't offer even 1/6 of the full game does so maybe the full game has more to offer.

Alan Wake should have gotten a 9 it's a great game.

i really enjoyed it. had a coop last night with a friend. and was awesome racing around the city in the agency cruiser hand braking into masses of freaks. great fun.

and you can pretty much break any game down to its core elements and say its just rinse and repeat

I downloaded the demo, it didn't strike me as a quality title. It reminded me of the old spiderman games on the PS1 with the narrator.

tahts why owning PS360 is a must for me. tbh i havent game on my 360 since ME2. So busy playing some PS3 games and planning to get a Wii soon.

I remember enjoying the demo for the first game in 2007, so I bought the full version. I played it for 10 minutes and it felt so dated I had to turn it off...I dont think I will ever bother to try it again. The second one does not sound much better.

It is a shame what the refs did to the Celtics in the 4th quarter of game 7.

Can't see how lemmings can list this game plus point for 360. It was mediocre, nowhere worth 60 euro. I guess worth a rent, if you are achievement addict.

I agree.

Crackdown is a decent game but with too many flaws. Crap Narrartive (the "twist" at the end was like uh who cares), repetitive, short, patheticly easy Boss Fights, Hit or miss auto aim, clunky driving and melee controls, and the fact that unlike in Infamous and Prototype you take damage when falling from high places even though the main draw is collecting the agility orbs to jump 30+ feet in the air, wtf is up with that. The orb collecting was fun but hampered by what i previously mentioned. The only improvement I saw in the Crackdown 2 demo was the melee controls. I was really hoping to see some major improvements especially with the height damage but nothing.

Sure it's dated, but i loved running down all the freaks with my supercar :P and the amount of enemys on screen explains the dated visuals. racing1750

Dead Rising is nothing like Crackdown 2. The scale is very limited in Dead Rising so you really shouldn't compare the two.

i thought the demo was fun

InFAMOUS is definitely the better overall game (same goes when compared to prototype)

*but* InFAMOUS doesn't have co-op or vehicles or as big of a world to explore and it doesn't let you travel nearly as fast as you can in Crackdown

the big let down for the first game was the actual missions themselves, but otherwise the fun-factor for Crackdown is through the roof, and collecting orbs is also way more addicting than finding shards

All Crackdown is, is a sandbox of destruction, with some half arsed story tacked on. It'll be fun in Co-Op for about 20 minutes. Aside from that? It's just complete and utter trash.

that's what makes it totally awesome

it's like somebody crawled into my brain circa 2004 and saw what i loved and hated about GTA, and then made a game

I always thought the first game was crap. I played it at a friends house and sure we had a fun time but i think that was due to the experience, we could have been playing any game and still had fun.

It just looks so boring and crap, same with the second game. I also despise the sandbox superhero genre but i can clearly see that Infamous is leagues and bounds above this.
