I am a diehard 360 fan (not fanBOY) and I got Crackdown because of the 360 Beta and because Crackdown as allegedly a good game (more for the Halo 3 Beta though). That being said, Crackdown is a blatant, and i mean BLATANT copy of the Hulk game for Xbox. I know it does a good job of trying to imitate the game, but guys, PLEASE stop showering praise on it as an game.
Hum, so the similarities: - Jumping high. - Being strong. - 3rd person. Differences: - Guns. - Driving. - Mission structure. - Online co-op. - Targeting. - Etc. Crackdown is a great game, but hardly a 'blatant' Hulk knock-off.
Saints Row is also a rip off. But that didn't stop the game from being a great game. Your point fails.Felous1

Throwing around cars and objects, busting up buildings and jumping extremely high distances, leveling up and the such. I'm not saying its a bad game, but I just don't undersand why it is being touted as underrated. It isn't underrated. It's Hulk without the license.

I hope you're joking. Repetitive, a little. Under-polished, you could say so. Lack of depth, most definitely; however, Crackdown is the furthest thing from boring.

I guess you got a point there. But IMO I couldn't shake the feeling I've played this game before and then it came to me instantly. I'm playing Hulk with cops. But I guess you're right.Â

If you went through Crackdown bored, then you must not have a pulse. This has nothing to due with not liking the game... A boring game is Hotel Dusk, even though you may enjoy, it's still a boring game. Crackdown, and boring shouldn't even be used in the same sentence.

GTA first fully realized sandbox game.
Realtime worlds are some of the people that created GTA.
The Hulk UD is sort of a sandbox game. It would not have been like that if GTA wasn't popular. It came out when everybody had to have an "open world" game...

Hulk was on more that XBOX, and for that matter, Spiderman 2 inspired Hulk.
Crackdown isn't orginal, but it will have a beta one day.Â
